It left behind a sticky residue and needed to bring in a carpet cleaner to make it right for the clients. We've used it a couple of times and try to do so for as many as we can. However, we know that it can get damaged but honestly, the higher end homes that we work in... this stuff is GREAT! I was looking for something that works well on both carpet and wood floor and I found few options on Amazon. I bought this one for walk way as it tends to stick to the flat floor and carpet better. Thanks for the foam like backings. It lays perfectly flat as you can see from the photo. It is water resistant and easy to clean and not slippery. I am glad I got this during my bathroom renovation. The workers were walking around the house this saves the carpet from staining.
