I adore this scratch-off map! It is literally my favorite aspect of my room! I like the colors and how the flags of the countries are on the bottom. However, I would say to be careful when you are scratching off; the scratch-off won't come off, but the tan/gold color could become smudged due to the natural oils from your hand. I still really love this map and it would definitely be a great gift for someone who loves to travel!

I got this map as a Christmas presents for my globe-trotting parents. It was a huge hit! The map is very high quality and we had a lot of fun scratching off the places they’ve visited together. I definitely recommend this product!

*UPDATE after 3 years: The gold scratch material won't scratch anymore! It doesn't comes off and it scratches the color below. We used the same pic that was supplied with the map. It used to work great when it was new and now after visiting a new country and trying to scratch it off it just ruining the plastic below and the gold does not scratch. Old review - irrelevant: This map seems to be high quality, the colors are very nice and my girlfriend loved it as a gift. Recommended! Update - Not Recommended!

The scratch-off map was everything I expected. But it is very deceiving when it comes to the accompanying book. All you get is a web site.

The map is big and easy to use. I have it up in my study/craft room wall and we have scratched off all the places we have been too. People comment on the map and the places we have been. We also pick where we want to go next. I would recommend this to everyone who loves to see the world, this would be great for children learning geography.

This map allows you to scratch off all the places you have been. The bottom part of the map has world maps that you can scratch off, so you can track which countries you have visited. There is a small section that allows you to scratch off continents if you are trying to visit all the continents. The largest part of the map is an actual world map, so you can scratch off cities, countries, or states as you visit them. I had purchased another map in the past, had it framed on a corkboard, and used pushpins to track my travel. This is so much better. A great gift for avid travelers.

Our son had a different scratch map but it ruined the map when he tried scratching it. This one came with a scratch tool and it scratches beautifully without causing damage. And it is fun to have the flags on this map as well.

Map came in a sturdy cylindrical holder and with what looked like a guitar pick which is supposed to be used to scratch off the map. The pick is a great idea however it only works if the space you’re scratching is large enough otherwise you risk scratching something off that shouldn’t be. Love all the vivid colors and flags of each country at the bottom. The areas that aren’t scratch off are laminated which is nice. Would recommend this if you’re looking to track your travels.
