I wish I could give ten stars ! This is a treasure for sure . I ripped the pages on my copy because I keep rereading it . I plan to give a copy to Nancy of my daughters even though the eldest is a Christian . This book has so many wonderful nuggets of knowledge. A child could read it an understand it . I love the direct spirit to self connection it gives . I thoroughly enjoyed the spiritual baths . So much wisdom . This book is ahead of its time and right on time . I will order another copy . Ase !

This is an excellent book for beginners to learn the rituals of ancestral veneration. It's my go to recommend to my clients and YouTube subscribers. In this book you will find pictures on how to properly set up an ancestral altar, the rituals to elevate and venerate our ancestors, which is critical on a spiritual path, it's one of the many rituals to spiritual elevation that was demonized by the colonizers of ancestral spiritual paths via the bastardization of religions, that was hijacked and used to a tool to put humanity under a spell of religious ignorance. Now the age of Aquarius the return of the Crone Mother Saturn, we are once again reconnecting with our ancient spiritual paths in the west.

OMG!!! I read the sample they gave on Kindle and was hooked. I needed to have this book. It was scary how the unexplained things that were happening to me in my life were explained in this book. The author makes it simple and in plain freaking English so everyone can understand which is a huuuuuge plus! She did such a great job on this book and I'm still amazed on how this book even showed up in the suggestions and I was literally drawn to it. This was an excellent purchase and an excellent read. I'm buying a couple more for friends

I personally use this book almost daily. The prayers are so beautiful that I have recommended and will continue to recommend this book to my clients and personal friends. The second edition is packed with even more information on how to construct an Egun/ Ancestor shrine and several ways on how to serve them plus more. Another great thing about this book also, it that it has pictures of examples of different kinds of shires which is so helpful for those who are just beginning. For those who are looking for some information on how to work your basic candle magic and use oils this book is also great for that. This book is also packed with different kind of spiritual baths & floor washes that one can make to Rid unwanted things or bring in towards ones life such as a road opener bath, cash bath, good luck fruit bath ,a sweet baths and different kind of cleansing just to name a few. 5 stars all the way for this book I am looking forward to other books from this Author in the future. This book is just everything and yes this is a real genuine review. This was recommended to me by someone and I haven’t put it down since I started reading it. I finished it fairly quick but keep going back to it for references because it’s kind of become MY version of a type of bible (don’t be getting offended) but yeah this book is just amazing.

As a newbie, this book ranks first and most important in Egungun prayers for me! Of all the Egun prayer books I've purchased, Iya Aladokun's Ancestor Paths is my favorite and the one I use most often. Her prayers are strikingly beautiful, moving and satisfying to the soul. The book is an easy read, is well written, nurtures the soul and provides thoughtful explanations of how spirits and our ancestors assist us as we revere and assist them in their elevation. Instructions and explanations are clear and easy to follow. The book is a must have for neophytes and veterans alike.

Easy book to read, once you dive into it. I completed in a few days. There are good finds within this book. The author attempts to give the readers insight of her background as Christian but, felt a greater calling into Lukumi. The author informs readers of her walk, and attempts to merge the two. I've given it 3.5 stars and not 5 because of the lack of Afrikan spirituality I.e. Spells. The Author offers grounds for the study of candle spells, performing seances, and such while granting the readers to the metaphysical meaning of candles by enlightening readers of their life. Aladokun's Christian background spills over frequently, as the "prayers" to recite during a seance or to invoke the ancestors was prevalent, also during her how-to- set up an altar space ( crosses and photos of jesus ) -Which lacked the feeling of Afrikan Spirituality, but coming from Christianity and walking into a different calling, I understand. It can be a bit off-putting to others. The author also, informs readers of a general idea of the Afrikan faiths which is good. Great read, just wanted more. UPDATE: This has been my go to book for a reference. I opened it with a new lens and see the value within these pages. The author poured jewels onto the book. I began my ancestral work, and rituals from this book (which have been potent). I recognized the magick within . Great information on how to dress candles. It's great for beginners. It lists herbs and their usages. Which have been great in developing my spirituality. Ase' to the author and readers. As I'm recognizing mine.

This book was beautiful it helped me in so many ways ! i love the Prayer chapter , when praying sometimes it’s hard to focus on what you are asking help for and the things you are trying to manifest and you have to be clear in the intentions you are giving when praying. This book answered so many questions it was just an amazing read

I have enjoyed working through this step by step guide, it is well written and informative, one of the best books I have in my library ❤️ it's my go to for any answers that I need regarding the path that I have chosen. I highly recommend it.

I read this book and found myself more excited following every chapter. I felt this book was written in the right tone and easy for me to understand and relate to. I love this book and feel that I will enjoy reading it again and again, it is packed with so much information and direction. It gives good guidance to anyone beginner or those who are experienced in the world and workings of spirituality. I will be recommending this book to anyone who wants to take steps to improve their life and I give glory to the Almighty for gracing the writer with wisdom knowledge and understanding for writing it. I thank all the Ancestors who also helped the writer with this extraordinary piece of work.... This is a great book if you'd like practical information on African diasporic religions that venerate ancestors. There's tons of detailed information on rituals, beliefs, spiritual tools and so on. I don't know how young the author is but I didn't feel there was a lot of ageless wisdom being offered but I did feel there were plenty of good intentions and a very generous spirit. I felt the author defended herself too against Christianity, which isn't where I'm coming from so I didn't particularly care. On the whole, I felt the religious beliefs & practices were respected, well explained, intelligently differentiated and generously explored.

This is the most comprehensive book I’ve read on the subject of ancestor worship, and I’ve read many. The author writes in a clear style that allows the reader to fully take in the important subjects she touches on. There are prayers, guidance and many helpful resources within this one book. I highly recommend you sit with a pack of tab holders as I have as there are so many useful pages. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to set up an ancestral altar and looking to explore further African spirituality.
