It sits in the warmer pad and collects the finished coffee dripping from the maker. Not for use on a stove. **Q: what coffee maker do I need for this product? I already ordered this and got it but it’s too tall and doesn’t fit my coffee maker. This is what we use at work and I love how it doesn’t make a mess pouring but didn’t realize that it won’t fit just any coffee maker.** A: I believe you need a Bunn coffee maker. I don't think these carafes fit other brands. I bought mine for my club which uses a Bunn commercial size coffee maker. **Q: do you have this cup in plastic?** A: No **Q: Does it work with a ten cup brewer?** A: The only way it wouldn't work is if the pot is too large to fit on a 10 cup brewer warming plate, which I assume is your actual question. I have no way of knowing that answer; my meeting group uses it with a large Bunn machine that has 3 burners. Maybe you could contact Bunn and ask your question?
