Great value! Made the job quick & easy
This was a great option for me because I just needed the tool to repair a leak and reroute the piping on a new RV toilet install. Prior to ordering, I took a fieldtrip to Lowe's to price out the tools and I wasn't interested in investing in the cinch tool ($80-$100) and the pipe cutting tool ($25-$30) especially since I probably wasn't going to use it a bunch outside of the initial project. I considered trying to 'cheap out' and use a pair of needle nose pliers to clamp and a miter saw to cut the PEX to size , but I'm really glad I didn't. The clamps were harder to close than I anticipated, but the cinch tool made quick work of them (I don't know that I would've had the leverage required with a pair of regular pliers). The cutting tool was amazing. Very little force was needed to cut and the cuts were super clean! The carrying case is an added plus because I'm keeping it in my RV in case there are any future PEX problems and it keeps everything organized and stores away nicely in an area where I don't have a lot of extra storage. I can't speak to the longevity of the tools, since I will hopefully only need to use them once or twice, but they definitely made the job easier and saved me a lot of time and money from taking it to someone else to do the work.

Got the job done!
This clinching tool along with the pipe hose cutter and crimp clamp rings took care of a bathroom tub and shower connection that I put off for a while because I was debating on re-running copper pipe or go-with-the PEX piping. So, I decided on going with PEX. Went to the Home Depot to see what tools I needed to my surprise, the tool alone that can handle 1/2 "- 1" crimps was running well over $50.00. No crimp rings, no cutting tool, no nice carrying bag, nothing! So, what do you do in a situation like that? Head on over to Amazon.com and search for one and without much effort, I found the KOTTO Pex Crimping Clamp Cinch Tool and Pipe Hose Cutter that came with a calibration plate and crimp rings for 1/2" and 3/4" PEX pipe. The cutting tool sliced thru the 1/2" PEX pipe like it was butter! The lightweight tool was also able to trim off 1/8" of the PEX without slipping if you keep a steady hand. The crimps were clean and did not disengage until the crimp was complete. I have two more piping projects coming up in the house and I cannot wait to use it again. Good price with extras.

For a DIY user it's ok for the price
Not a professional grade product, but it does good for the price. I like the case. Crimping took a lot more force than my previous crimper (loaned out & lost). This does what I need. Removed two crimp rings, and it didn't cut them well at all. The actual crimps seem to be good and solid. Nice case, keeps everything together so it doesn't get lost if you don't use it often. I really like the included cutter. It's much smother than my old one. Nice clean cuts, minimal effort.

Great Value for the price
The local plumbing store advised me on what to purchase or the option to borrow their tool for one day. Knowing that my project might span a few weeks, I decided to purchase. This tool was a fraction of the cost of the recommended tool and for my DIY usage, I figured would work fine. It has not disappointed. Did everything I needed it to. Coming with the cutter and clamps was a bonus as well!

Good tool to keep for household plumbing work
Less than a third of the cost and does the same job as shark pex tool that costs $90 just for the crimp tool. That says a lot about how over priced some tools are for just plumbing use. I used this pex tool to rehook my water line behind the shower wall as I got new shower system. Does the same job as shark tool in same amount of time. No complaint as they even included two bags of 1/2” crimp rings. I would recommend this for regular household users who doesn’t know how to do soldiering with copper pipes, as pex pipes are cheaper and easier to work with. It’s just the tools that regular hardware store carries are ridiculously over priced for simple crimping mechanisms.

got it done
I got my job done for about $50 in parts (including this kit) when the plumber wanted $600. The tools worked just fine. I did pinch my hand with the cutter the first time I used it. (water spraying out made me rush) The crimper was a little tricky in some positions (working overhead) but it was doable. I recommend doing a couple of practice crimps before you do your final stuff. Oh, and someone in the reviews here said you could use the crimper to remove old crimps.. I tried their method and couldn't get it to work. I ended up using some 8" bolt cutters. They took a couple of passes, but did what was needed. There are some videos on youtube of how to release the crimps with a flathead screwdriver, but it looked like a PITA.

Perfect pre-calibrated Sex crimper
I never did Pex plumbing until an emergency residential job came up and this was the first time using these tools. It was way easier than i thought but I did reveiew a few HOW TO's on YOUTUBE. The job went as planned and now I feel confident doing pex crimping because of this practical yet inexpensive tool. I highly recomment it.

Crimps well, but sometimes gets hung up and needs reset.
Using this tool, will make you wish you had a third arm in the center of your chest. One hand to position the clamp where you want it, and the other two to start the crimp. I found that in most cases, the handles were quite far apart when starting a crimp, causing me to grip close to the business end which loses the mechanical advantage of long handles. I typically order large size gloves so I don't have a small grip. Occasionally, I noticed that the handles don't want to close. It's difficult to say whether the ratcheting mechanism is getting in the way and blocking the movement or there is something else happening. When it happens, I have usually removed the tool from the crimp area to have a look and it moved just fine doing an air crimp. Putting the tool back on the crimp clamp and then it works... Personally, I would have preferred 20mm (5/8") crimps instead of the 23mm (1 inch) or even a small selection of several sizes crimp clamps. While the 1/2" ones fit on pex pipe before it get jammed on to the barbed end of a connector, they won't fit if you are using flexible tubing, so I needed to buy another crimp kit that included the 5/8" versions. They tightened up great, no leaks I would say this was a good purchase. It does what it's supposed to do and would be fine for the occasional use, but probably not if you were a real plumber, get a better tool.

Great for home owner
Used this to replumb my hot water lines in the basement. The rings that came with it weren't that great but I didn't expect much of them. Switched to local hardware store sourced crimp rings after the 2nd fitting and things went much smoother. Crimp tool itself has some picadillos of operation that took some figuring. But once you realize that head of the tool has to be centered in the 'slop' It's much smoother sailing. All being said decent enough tool for home use but I would likely get a professional grade one of I did this for a living.

All I needed for several pex connections
This is a great set, with all I needed for my bathroom renovation project. It comes with several clamps in two sizes. The tool is great at cutting and at clamping - all joints made were leak-free and very tight. The tool ratchets until tight enough and then releases when ready, so no guess work involved in applying the right amount of tension - highly recommended.

Kotto for the win!
I recently completed a bath renovation. My plumber left all the Pex capped fo my vanity and toilet. I didn’t want to pay for him to come back and install some shutoffs so I bought this kit. Worked perfectly. Cutter cuts like butter. The cinch tool seems like a quality tool. A little hard to get started cinching but i worked great. The ratchet system just releases at the end so you know you’re done. I went and bought different rings because reviewers said they had issues. I bought some Sharkbite rings. Other than that, for what I’m using this for which is around my house and probably a handful of times, it is definitely worth the money.

Excellent tool- Buy it!
After reading positive reviews on this site, I ordered one for a bathroom renovation. This tool works like a charm; the plumbers who roughed in my bathroom plumbing, left it too low to the ground so I ordered this to finish the job. I have not done any plumbing in my life but this tool made it easy. Probably saved 500 bucks in labour and it is straight forward. The only thing I found is the clamps that come with this unit are bigger than the ones you can find in the hardware store, this comes into play when you are trying to close the clamps, the ones in the kit slip around but provide a good seal and the ones in the hardware store stay in place, so it is easier to use the hardware store clamps.
