How long is the lead, as when its plugged in to tv need the lead to reach down to my tv unit shelf** A: I am able to record two TV programmes at the same time with my hard drive. The ability to do so may depend on the actual TV you have. The lead is about fifteen inches long. My hard drive is attached to the rear of the TV, so the lead is of sufficient length for me. Longer leads are available to buy, if needed. **Q: Can you watch another programme on a smart TV whilst recording onto this drive?** A: It depends what you’re wanting to record. This will record whatever external content stream is being received by the smart TV (and whether or not copyright protection is enabled). To record one programme and watch another, you’d need two separate and independent TV streams coming in, or some way to split a stream into multiple outputs. You’d need specific hardware for that, and so for most standard household setups, this would be unlikely. **Q: Can this drive be re-formatted (not fat/32) on a apple mac to save large files - i.e imovie files that can be up to 10gb** A: Yes. It’s just a drive. Format it however you like. I routinely use dual partitions that are formatted to a mixture of FAT and EXT4. **Q: I purchased this for recording tv but the recordings, mainly films are flickery and unwatchable. Any advice as at the moment I can’t use it** A: It sounds more like an issue with the device you're using rather than the hard drive. I had no issues using this to play games on my Xbox Series S.
