Good quality product
I really like this tea infuser basket, which I use daily. I wanted to get away from tea bags. Very well made and should last a long time. It fits perfect in one of my mugs. I buy loose tea leaves and it works well, occasionally I will have a few traces of tea powder around the cup. Not bad to clean if you do it fairly soon after making tea. Just clean out leaves, rinse well and let dry in dish rack.

Worth the money!
I have used tea balls or the egg shaped strainers before. They simply do not compare to this one. A simply elegant design that works perfectly. Room for leaves to expand, fine holes to keep leaves inside, a built in drip container. Easy to clean. Easy to use. There are far more interesting teas offered as loose leaf rather than the sachet bag. Far nicer than cheaper alternatives. Worth the money!

Best tea infuser I've ever used!!!
I love this infuser so much I purchased one for my wife and one for my brother. I purchased this initially because I found out that tea bags have microplastic! I looked at the reviews before purchasing and I disagree with any negative critiques. I love that the lid has silicone so that I don't burn my fingers (rather than an all metal lid that sits inside the infuser as one video review talks about). I also found that the infuser covers all my mugs and the tea is very hot after brewing. This infuser is very easy to clean and use. The loose tea tastes so much better than the tea bags I was using. This infuser is definitely worth the extra money. I highly recommend it!!!

Durable build, no tea residue, fits most cups/mugs
Much better than a tea ball; and high quality. I have been very unhappy with the tea balls that I have used in the past; they don't seal very well where the two halves join and the mesh isn't that fine, so when I saw this type of tea infuser, I wanted to give it a try. I read numerous reviews of competing products, many of which cost significantly less. But customers all complained about the same thing; that the bottom was only crimped on in three or four places, and came apart after use. I decided to trust OXO because I've had good luck with their products in the past. I was not disappointed. Eight solid looking crimps(I'm a machinist, and I recognize fine craftsmanship) holding the bottom in place, a super fine mesh that allows almost no Tea residue in my cup, and a size that holds a full heaping teasooon of tea, yet fits both my oversized mugs and my girlfriends more sensibly sized teacups. I would strongly recommend this.

Versatile & ergonomic
Product: OXO Tea Infuser Basket Rating 4/5 (exellent) OXO is known for good quality, ergonomic and reasonably priced kitchen tools, and this tea infuser fits nicely within that paradigm. Likes: + Tabs: They're wide enough to fit both medium and large mugs, as well as old fashioned ceramic tea pots of varying sizes. + Roomy: Its wide enough and deep enough to work well with a wide variety of sizes of mugs and teapots. I bought this for use with a 3 pt ceramic teapot (mostly for Assam, Gunpowder and Puer'h), but it also works fine in 12 and 16 oz mugs, and as long as the liquid level stays below the level of the tabs, it even works in a saucier pan for infusing broths and sauces. + Strainer: the perforations in the stainless steel basket are fine enough to handle not just loose tea, but tea fannings as well Dislikes: + Perforations: Most tea aficianados tend to prefer whole leaf tea (either loose, rolled ala gunpowder or compressed ala puer'h) over that of fannings (tea dust, which is why tea bags exist), but it's nice to have a strainer that's fine enough to handle both. The only drawback of I an extra fine strainer is that it reduces infusion efficienctly somewhat, because your hot water doesnt convect as freely as it could through the walls of the basket. As a result, ive found it best to periodically 'tea bag' the basket up & down a few times, in order to get optimal extraction, esp when infusing in larger teapots. + Lid: The lid can be inverted to double as a tea caddy, which is nice, but I wish there was a way to lock it in place, and perhaps attach a dunking chain, so that it could be fully submerged in larger vessels. Verdict: A solid value.

Excellent product!!!!
The tea infuser basket is extremely sturdy and worth the money. You can use the lid when you remove the basket from the cup of tea so it does not drip on the floor. I bought a cheap set and they did not last. This item is worth the money.

Stop drinking cardboard water. This is THE BEST INFUSER!
I'm going to tell you why your tea tastes like cardboard, but no longer will after using this infuser. To start, I became an avid fine tea and herbal infusion drinker 9 years ago in 2011. I am an herbalist, and the tools we use actually matter when it comes to brewing herbal blends that aren't bitter and tasteless yet retain their medicinal qualities.. The vessel in which you brew is VERY important as well, and seeing as 95% of herbs come loose leaf and bulk, not individually bagged, its important to have great tools such as this stainless steel brew basket. Metal brewers leach iron and shavings into your tea reacting with the natural minerals present in the tea! This is NO bueno! Anywho, I often need to brew a lot of medicinal tea for myself or my clients. I've used mesh strainers, reusable cotton tea bags, silicone tea infusers, the stainless steel ball single cup tea infuser, kettles with the infusion basket inside, etc. You name it, I've tried it. Nothing comes close to how much I absolutely love THIS tea infuser. It fits perfect on my tea cup, which is 3.25" in diameter. PERFECT for a single cup of tea. Not only that, It fits darn near perfect on small mouthed 1 quart mason jars with the lid on!!! That means on the days I want 2.5 cups of tea, I just add 3 more tsp of looseleaf tea into my OXO Tea Infuser Basket, put it in my mason jar, pour the water over the herbs, and BOOM. 3 large servings of tea for me, or 2 generous servings of tea for a couple. The silicon finish on the underside of the handles and the rim of the lid are genius. It keeps all the aromatic, flavor bursting, healthful oils in your tea, so you're not drinking flavorless cardboard water. This is very apparent in blends with natural limonene, menthol, and eucalyptol oils found in teas such as peppermint, eucalyptus, lemon ginger, chai, and earl grey. Now you know why your tea was horrid. You let all the flavorful oils out when you brewed without the LID on!!!! The silicon finish on the handles and lid also creates a seal with cup, keeping your tea hot and those precious oils in. Stop drinking cardboard water and brew your tea with lids on people!!! I'm so grateful this brew basket has this fabulous lid. Use it. On the days I'm crampy because of menstruation, and I need a bunch of red raspberry leaf, I chuck a small handful of the herbs in brew basket, put it in my quart jar, and brew. I have enough tea for the next 3 hours and by then most of my cramps are gone. (Not to mention it tastes like a white tea!) See photos! I use this EVERY. DAY. and I don't foresee myself stopping in the summer. I'll just brew extra strong green iced tea and dilute it using this basket. Tea all year made easy!
