I've had this product for 7 months now. The software is incredibly buggy, meaning that when you have message alerts enabled you will have to refresh the app several times a day in order to keep that feature functioning. Also the motion sensor is good during daylight but not so good during the night. Also the app likes to spaz out and take forever to load during the most crucial moments. Has no ability to record 24/7, at least from the app and the computer program, maybe you will be able to do it with a tiny TV because this device does not connect to large flat screen TVs.

Installation went well Camera quality is good as long as you remember to switch the cameras to 1080p at the cameras after power up (default is 960) Local software is good .Remote live viewing is good. If you are going to install your DVR near where you are going to view/review recordings this system works well. That is where the 5 star ends. Now for the 0 star part. Remote recorded viewing Is Horrible. Remote live viewing is fine . No webserver built in to unit (that I could access anyway). Remote software for pc is ridiculously complicated to set up with very poor functionality (ff rew ). I cannot attest to mobile app as I did not need it. However others reviews suggest it also leaves a lot to be desired. DVR is in a closet on shelf so standing there with a stepstool and a mouse to review recordings isn't going to happen. I have already installed system so returning isn't going to happen. Ordered a different DVR. If your DVR is going to be located where you will be accessing recordings directly, I recommend this system based on price/features. If you plan on locating the DVR in a remote location. You might want to consider some other options.

This was used to replace an older system I had, I like that they shipped with longer cables than my old system, my only issue is the video quality, it’s far from what was advertised, it’s more like 144p, also the frame rate really sucks, my old system was around 40 fps, this system is around 20 maybe a little less, the video is rather choppy to a noticeable degree. But other than that system is pretty good.

Camera and DVR work well. Easy to setup except instructions are poor. Instructions don't explain all the possible settings, However there are online videos that help a bit, but the version of software on the DVR is newer than the one shown in the videos. Tech support was responsive and helped fill in the blanks. Thank you Slina & Mia. My only issue has been every few days one of the cameras drops signal and I have to power cycle the camera by unplugging the power and plugging it back in. Night vision is very good but motion detection has a problem with weather. Next time I'll go with PIR cameras.

Pedi este kit de camara como regalo para mi madre, las acabo de recibir y quede super encantada con el proceso de envio, llego a tiempo, con todo lo que describe, buen enpaquetado y todo bien explicado para la instalacion, me preocupaba los cables como solo decia que traia dos fuentes de alimentacion para 8 camaras, pero veo que todo va bien no necesito mas que el disco duro para que trabaje. Aun no las he probado, espero que todo valla bien en lo adelante. Ahora estoy esperando el Disco Duro y el Cable HDMI para poder configurarla.
