Look at the measurements given. I thought the same (about as wide as your thumbs highest knuckle crease to the tip) but after using it a bit, I would say it gets the job done.Issues:1. NOT SMELL PROOF: This product is in no way smell proof. I ground up some hemp and smoked, and left it on my living room coffee table. When I came in the next day the smell was very obvious. Held it up to my nose and it was undeniably not smell proof.2. NO DROP THROUGH: When you grind, the herb doesn't actually go anywhere like other grinders where it will drop down to a catcher. The herb just stays in the top section and you will probably need something thin to scrape it out from between the grinder teeth.3. SMALL: In hemp measurements, you will only be grinding one nug at a time. I’m not the most precise person so I need that extra bit of help. Nope, I’m losing my herbs all over the place. I’m not sending it back but I’m annoyed I now have to modify my cheap purchase. I should’ve know. Regret.So the longest of stories short (sorta) is that I bought it for the price.
