KEENWomens Chester Boot Black

I must admit I was a little nervous about the fit after reading the reviews. So I ordered 1/2 size larger than I usually wear and the boot fits very well. I have a narrow foot and the boot slipped right on with no problems. The ankle was a little tight but I find it held my heel in place very well. It took a little effort to get the boot off but I am hoping that the stiffness will be a thing of the past as I wear the boots and the material loosens up. I found the black color very pleasing. It is not a jet black but definitely black. I thought they looked great with jeans and I am looking forward to wearing the boots this fall and winter during our cold weather season.

I already had a pair of lighter Keen winter boots and hoped these would be the same. They seem to fit a bit roomier without being loose. But I'm sure I'll be wearing thicker winter socks soon. I was a little surprised to find that it feels like it has a built in wedge heel. If I would have tried them on at a store, not quite sure I would have bought them. The front part is elasticized and the boot is still on the stiff side. Not quite what I wanted but I already paid the duty and taxes on them.

Beautiful shoes! I just have skinny feet, and the back slipped up and down when I walked. The overall length, however was just a little small, even though I bought a half size up to accommodate thick socks. Bought these for winter warmth, and a nice look. Too bad they slipped, or I would have kept them. I have that problem with most side zip shoes, but thought if I had thick socks they might work. They sure are nice looking though and would work for most people.

I recently bought a brown pair from a sporting goods catalog -loved them so i was happy to find a black pair. We live in Northern WI and I am in & out of the office all day. I can comfortably wear these all day. Good traction and light weight - not big& bulky like pack boots. - they do soften up a bit as you wear them. Love these boots

The boots fit a little smaller than other Keen shoes in the same size that I have bought, but not enough that I couldn't wear them.

A little stiff but otherwise like the look and fit. Hope that they will get less stiff over time.

I would not recommend this shoe. They looked kind of weird on and they did not feel very warm at all. I also did not like the stiffness, I know a shoe needs to be broken in, but this shoe was too uncomfortable to endure. Sent back.

fit is okay, if your feet are somewhat pointy, order 1/2 a size larger so it does not bother your big toe...
