Incredible 6.5 Speakers!
I ordered a pair of Orion Cobalt CM652 speakers for the rear deck of my Dodge Challenger because I had been searching for 2-Ohm speakers that provide at least 100 Watts of power per speaker to replace my old Infiniti Kappa 2-ohm 75 watt 6.5 speakers that are no longer being made. When I saw that the Orion Cobalts were rated at 125 watts per channel I had to give it a try. They are two-way speakers, midrange and tweeters. My doors already have three-way Kappa 6x9 speakers in the doors and a JBL stealthbox sub in the trunk, so for I the rear deck I just wanted some backfill sound. When the Cobalt speakers arrived the first thing I noticed was the magnets are huge! I was concerned that the speakers might not fit the speaker holes in my rear deck. The inter diameter of the Scoche 6.5 inch mounting brackets that my previous rear deck speakers used was too small for the Cobalt speakers to fit into, so I had to mount the brackets on top of the speakers instead of below them, and I also had to replace the original 6 deck screws (3 per speaker) with longer ones since the mounting brackets being on top caused the original screws to not reach the deck screw holes. I also needed to buy 4 thin machine screws and 4 nuts for each speaker to mount the brackets to the speakers. I also purchased a pair of NVX rubber baffles to secure the speakers to the metal deck and prevent any squeaking. When the speakers were finally installed I played Rush 2112 album, and the loudness and sound quality blew me away! They were much louder than my 6x9 Kappa’s in the doors, and the sound quality was amazing. I had to tune down the gain down to be able to balance the front speakers with the rears. I’m really amazed that a pair of $65 speakers can sound this good. I see these speakers come in both 2-Ohm and 4-Ohm versions. Make sure your amp supports 2-Ohms if you go with 2-Ohm speakers. I prefer 2-Ohm as they are more energy efficient which equates to less battery drain.

super loud and clear
It all depends on the box you put them in and the crossover settings and the EQ. I found that though they advertise they go up to 10khz it's better if you cut them off at 5khz, and let the tweeters take care of everything above that. When I had these drivers going up to 10Khz, they were too noisy. But setting the crossover lower helped

Clear and LOUD
Holy cow these things get loud. The level of clarity you get out of these at crazy high volumes is unbelievable especially considering the price. The only thing I would beware of is the magnets on these speakers are gigantic and I couldn't fit them into the front doors on my car. Luckily they fit the back doors by about 1/16 of an inch.

Good replacement sounds very well
I feel the quality when holding these things. I have the 6x9 2 ohm. It took forever trying to find 2ohm 6x9. I purchased 4ohm different brand and could barely hear them. Come to find out the stock speakers were 2ohm. I’m sure they would sound amazing being amplified, but it’s just not in the budget and sounds very good with the stock Altima radio. Well worth the price I believe.

Clarity
I replaced my 3 way 4x6 speakers in the dash of a Chevy S10 pickup with these 4 inch Mids., I didn't use the mounting plate, since the speakers fit perfectly in the tight space with no movement. The mids are sweet, I really like the sound reproduction of the old R&B and Jazz music.

Hard hitting! no doubt
They hit hard the best. I’ve heard yet out of a 6 x 9.
