Nice complement to XM Ready receiver. Can connect to a factory satellite antenna, if you know how. :)
Bought this to go along with my new Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS. I installed it along with my stereo in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. Since my truck had a factory satellite radio antenna, I was able to locate the connector for it behind my glove box, remove a yellow plastic retainer clip I didn't need and plug it right into this unit. While it did plug in securely, I used some electrical tape as a little extra insurance. I didn't want it to come unplugged down these South Georgia red clay roads. The hardest part of the whole install was routing the cable that goes to my head unit through the dash (without taking a bunch of junk apart.) As for sound quality - getting the sound just right took some work. Actually, it took some learning on my part as to how to operate my new head unit. However, once I mastered the equalizer settings and function volume control, the sound is not just good - it's great! It is truly comparable to the sound quality I get via Bluetooth to my Note 4 or via USB to my jump drive. As for album art - it showed up immediately. All I can say, is this is a good tuner and it compliments my stereo very well. As others did, I got the 3 free months of service, which I plan to renew with an annual plan (Mostly Music) at the end of the trial. The biggest plus I've seen so far with Sirius XM is the variety and the lack of commercials. However, the customer support via telephone is a little lacking. Either the person I got was a newby or just wasn't that good at her job, but eventually, I got my activation completed.

does what it says and is plug and play
When I saw “SiriusXM ready” on the radio box, I thought, “Awesome, plug it in and let the music roll!” Nope. Turns out “ready” actually means “ready to spend more money.” So here I am, buying an extra antenna just to unlock the feature I assumed was included. The antenna itself? Solid performance, easy install, and it has a magnetic base — so you can slap it onto anything metal (I stuck mine on the windshield frame). A double-sided sticky pad would work just as well if you’re feeling crafty. Now I’ve got all the glorious satellite channels I wanted… I just wish they came without the surprise shopping trip.

Works EXACTLY as intended.
Works EXACTLY as intended. I've purchased at least a dozen of these of the past several years - HUGE commercial radio fan & I LOVE the Sirrus/XMRadio line ups they have + the quality of content programing is hard to beat. Kinda/Sorta need Sirrus/XM Radio in my cars - one of my top three "must" haves when I'm either look @ a new car - or used - if it ain't got a Sirrus/XM Radio option - I pass on it ...

Easy to connect
Receiver works well. Easy to connect. Take your time placing/installing the antennae. While I know the manufacturer "suggests" where to locate the antennae (roof) I decided to try what was easy first and thus far it's been a success. I have an older model Camry 4-Dr Sedan with a relatively flat trunk lid which is where I opted to place the antennae. I placed the antennae centered on the trunk lid at a point closest to the back window with the wiring facing the back windshield. I fed the wiring up under the trunk lid and used zip ties to anchor the wiring to the underneath side of the trunk lid and down the hinge (I opted for the passenger side) and then began to feed the wiring through the trunk and under trim work until I reach under the passenger side of the dash where I secured the receiver and connected the wiring. Things to watch for using this location for the antennae are 1) Will I experience any interference with the stock antennae in the back window of the car? 2) Will there be an instance when I have a weak signal because the trunk lid is blocked by the roof? 3) Will the trunk lid pinch the antennae wire that I run under the lid between the car's molding for the trunk? Thus far I've had no issues with the signal and I see no signs of the wire being pinched. What I like about this location is it required no mod to the car and no major work of removing and reinstalling a window seal. I also like that if "for whatever reason" I want to conceal the antennae I can simply open the trunk and put stick on the underneath side of the trunk lid until I am ready to use again. Such an example would be an automated car wash where I might want to tuck away the antennae until I am done. If I follow the suggested installation I can't do this. But best of all the installation was simple. I'll keep it this way until I start experiencing issues.

easy to install works great. i was tired of having my old sirius mounted on the dash. now i dont, it plays right through the radio. I use to have 30 min of record time only for the channel i was listening to. now i got 18 presets they record even when im not listening to the station and for 1 hr i didnt know what i was missing out on until i got this. it records 18 hrs of sirius now.

It works great. However
It works great. However, it would have been great is Sirius would have included a 3M double sided precut tape to mount the antenna on the windshield if we do not want to use the magnetic mount method to scratch out car. Also, for better signal reception, the installation guide recommend mounting the antenna outside of the vehicule. There's no way I'll drill any holes in my car, this is crazy. Next best location si tio of the winshield. Also, the 3 months freebies thing if you subscribe to 6 months of premium all dress thing is not available in Canada, only in the Divided-States of America. And lastly, but ot least, it doesn't tell you thing in the user installation guide, but I feel that it should. You need to me in your car with the radio turned on on your SiriusXM input when you actually call them to become a subscriber. Following the call, it takes less then 10 minutes for your radio to receive the signal from the satelite letting it known that it is now activated. I was at home when I subscribed and was wondering was the radio wouldn't unlock the channels 8 hours after I subscribed. Once I called to their representative, they explained that the radio needs to be turned on when they send the signal. They only send the signal once, and if they don't find your radio, they don'T have an automatic retry. Kind of lame.
