I've only used it down to 5 degrees. Sure you need to wear a sweater under it but it stops the wind and as a bonus it's pretty waterproof. Plowing wet rainy snow for 2 hours didn't see a single wet spot. I shook it off before going inside and within minutes the outside was dry to the touch. I have a little trouble finding the zipper as it is a nice long coat (bottom of butt) but it all seems study and ready to perform for years. I would have given it a 4.5 if I could have.
