Komelon SL2825 Self Lock 25-Foot Power Tape

I bought this because I misplaced two other large tape measures somewhere. I bought this one because the price was right but it works great. I especially love the self locking feature.

Was looking for a good tape measured and this fit all my boxes. •Starts out self locking so I can extend to the length I want and it holds. •Nice easy design that I can spot in a crowded room •Very sturdy even at the full length of 25 feet. It’s a great ruler that is decently priced. I keep it in my tool bag at all times while on jobs.

Its good to have a retractable device that actually retracts as it should. You will like this power tape

Love this! So easy to use, and if you are someone who is learning how to DIY their home then this is definitely a must have. It’s not as heavy as you would typically expect which is really nice and the lightweight makes it easy to do projects and get measurements with less hassle.

This tape measure works great. It feels like a solid build and works great. The auto lock feature works well and makes it easy when measuring. The measurements are easy to read. You can't beat the value for the price. Highly recommended if you like the auto lock feature in a tape measure.

This automatic locking tape measure works really well for everyday use. The self-locking mechanism is super convenient . The blade locks automatically when extended and retracts smoothly at the push of a button. No more fumbling to hold the tape in place while measuring. The nylon coated blade feels durable and helps protect against wear and tear, while the high carbon steel construction gives it a solid, sturdy feel. The impact-resistant ABS case with a rubber overmold provides good grip and protects it from drops. I also like that it has stud markings every 16 inches, which makes it handy for quick framing or home improvement projects. The only small downside is that the lock button can feel a bit stiff at first, but it loosens up with use. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-built measuring tape that feels durable and performs smoothly.

Recommended. I bought this just over 13 years ago and it still works fine. You don't want this if you need to pull out the tape and have it stay in place while sitting flat on the ground. The tape will slide in slowly about 1/4" 10 seconds if the front is not held up at a slight angle by putting something underneath at the front like a screw. Other than when being flat on the ground the brake still holds well and the operation is solid. It only cost $10 back then but that's inflation. I wanted to buy another of these but i'm going try the dewalt atomic.

I'm not sure if the self-locking mechanism was introduced by Komelon, but I'll never buy another tape again that doesn't have this feature. I am a professional carpenter and find it to be so much easier to use. They will wear out like any other tape measure, but the design makes them my go to brand now. I just bought six more to give to my carpenter/homeowner friends.

Strange to say about a simple tape measure, but this is an oddly satisfying item. The tape is textured and feels nice, the weight is perfect, it thunks in a low reassuring thud when you stop it. Feels very solid in your hand. Never thought I could be so pleased about a tape measure, but this is just great quality.

Tape is well constructed and easy to read. No metric scale so tape is 100% imperial and easy to make from either side. Love the self-locking feature. Great value for $20 for a 25' tape.

Doesn't try to retract while I'm extending or reading it. This one takes the frustration out of measuring.

Well built, solid measuring tape. Nice bright color so it’s hard to misplace.
