The Buildtak 3D-printing build surface is a 6.5" x 6.5" square sheet that adheres to a print bed of a fused-filament 3D printer (sold separately) to help the filament stick during printing, while also enabling clean removal of the printed part afterward. The sheet is compatible with ABS, PLA, HIPS, PET+, brick, wood, and flexible (TPE) filaments (sold separately), and has a durable construction that allows for multiple uses with either the same or different filament material. The build surface can also be used with nylon and t-glase when a thin layer of washable glue stick (sold separately) is spread onto the surface. It installs more quickly and with fewer bubbles than tape or films.Ideal Jacobs manufactures the Buildtak 3D-printing build surface and provides custom services such as rapid prototyping, laser-cutting, machining, and injection molding. The company, founded in 1921 and headquartered in Maplewood, NJ, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001:2008 and 14001:2004.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic!
*by T***L on February 12, 2017*

This stuff is fantastic. I had originally gotten the 4.5x4.5, but decided that was certainly not what I had wanted for my MP Mini (one of those 'live and learn' moments). The only issue was that it was too small. Getting the 6.5x6.5 version and cutting down to size resolved that. As long as my bed is leveled properly, the models stick to this stuff like glue. Perfect. Just a word to the wise (which I learned with the 4.5x4.5 when I first got the printer), use a scraping razor (with handle, if possible) to get under the model, and then fit your normal remover tool under that and push. Pops right off, and you won't damage the surface like I did when I didn't realize how hard I was jamming the removal tool into the surface.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buildtak Works!
*by J***W on July 8, 2017*

I have been using Buildtak on my MeCreator2 since October of 2016. As of 7/8/2017 I am on my second piece and still have 1 to go. It holds prints that I would have never dreamed it would hold without using a raft or brim. As it ages, a wipe down with 90% rubbing alcohol and a clean paper towel will make it stick like new. I do it just before every print. If I had know that sooner, I may have still been using the 1st sheet. Piece of advice, buy the Buildtak Spatula and your Buildtak will last alot longer. If you use a putty knife you take a chance of stabbing the Buildtak. The spatula has rounded edges that will prevent that from happening.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for PLA prints on a heated build plate
*by C***R on July 3, 2016*

I've spent months going through build plate materials, and this one is my pick. Printing PLA parts has gone from a huge hassle, to less of a huge hassle thanks to this print surface.I use this sticker on an aluminum bed, with a PCB heater underneath. Parts do not stick without the heated bed. With the Z-axis well calibrated, parts will stick to this material with excellent consistency, and the bottom layer of finished parts is a nice, smooth matte surface. Some notes:- The material is ablative, and every print (and scraping the print off) wears some of the material away.- One print has stuck so well that I tore the buildTak trying to remove it.- Removing a used sheet is pretty easy, it pulls up with very little glue residue left over.
