The Little GI Book: An Easily Digestible Guide to Understanding Gastroenterology 1st Edition

Great overview of gastroenterology; you will learn a lot from this. Chapters on endoscopy and liver especially good. If you work in a GI practice in a support role, this will give you insight as to what's going on. Really an overview written for the layman, but very, very good.

At first I thought it was too simple, then I realized as a new NP in GI that is exactly what I needed! It is a very nice review of anatomy and major illnesses encountered in GI, very easy to read and has some illustrations. Not for advanced providers.

Tells you exactly what you need to know for your GI rotation! Does not go into too much detail on each subject, but enough so that you are prepared with a solid foundation.
