Maxfli Golf Ball Pick Up Retriever Grabber Claw Putter Grip Attachment

This is the third retriever I've tried and by far the best! The first was a large suction cup which picked up the ball fine, but was only slipped onto the putter end, so sometimes it pulled off into the bottom of the bag; and to get it out I had to dump everything out of the bag. The second was a small suction cup that screwed into the end of the putter grip. Worked great and didn't pull off, but because it was small any sand or dirt on the surface of the cup prevented a suction seal to the ball from forming and it did not work. Your product screws into the putter end and the fingers grip the ball perfectly every time. Just started using it and if is durable over time it will be ideal!

First off, let me say I've tried every different ball retriever on the market. My first rating of this Maxfli retriever was 5 stars, as it was so clearly superior to all the other. But I had so many that broke so quickly that I had to amend my rating down to 1 star. Well, it may be that Maxfli has fixed whatever problem existed with these retrievers because the one that is currently on my putter has been there all year--over 100 rounds of golf--and has not broken or deteriorated in any way. At my age (83) I must have a ball retriever; I just can't do all the bending over. So, because of my experience with my current retriever, and because even if future retrievers happen to break more often than I think they should, I would still buy the Maxfli because it's the only one I've found that works, perfectly, every single time.

This picks up the ball firmly and securely every time. Have had one on another putter for the past few years. Installation required some shop time as my oversized Super Stroke grip has a round aluminum insert at the top of the grip where the device is supposed to screw in. I had to gradually ream out the small hole in the aluminum insert in order to get the screw into the grip. Not a solid final fit so completed the install with some 5 minute epoxy. Holds great, but be aware that you may need to work it over to make it fit your putter

Screws into the top of the putter. No more bending down to pick up the ball from the cup. Holds onto the ball nicely and easy to remove the ball flyer retrieval. Made well, good value for the money. Recommend this product.

Let me qualify what I mean by sturdiness. While the actual pickup is well built the attachment is like most of the putter pickups consisting of a simple coarse threaded screw you twist into the putter grip. The problem with all attachments like this is they get loose and wobble during each round. On a couple of previous units from other suppliers the attachment screw could be simply pulled out of the pickup center. By doing so I was able to install a small molly bolt in lieu of the coarse screw. The molly bolt grips the sides of the putter and firmly attaches the device to the putter. It also allowed me to mount a small magnet to the pickup to hold a ball marker. Since I did not have that option on this unit as the screw is molded into the plastic I returned the unit for a refund and transferred a pickup from an old putter to my new putter. So far after eight rounds the old one is attached as if it is part of the putter. In general while the basic unit is well built and solid material the attachment method is shoddy and typical of all pickups. If you do not mind having to mess with the pickup to keep it attached it is a good unit but I prefer to go a bit further and have the pickup as a solid mount I do not have to think about during a round and having the ball marker firmly attached to the inside of the pickup means I do not have to remember to attach it to my hat or dig into my pocket etc.

I bought 2 of these Max flu grippers in 2020. Still using today on my 2 putters. Since they are screwed into a rubbers like putter grip, they will eventually loosen up and come out, but a dollop of 2-part epoxy keeps them on! And, you replace your putter or swim test it, at $11 each, buy a new one! Good quality, prongs don't break - I recommend this product.

I love this little gadget. It really saves my back in a golf game. It's a little weird to get used to on the end of my putter, but I have gotten used to it. It's base is a little bigger than where it attaches to the putter, but it seems to work okay.

I had hip replacement 1 year ago and found it difficult initially to bend down to retrieve my golf ball from the hole. I am completely recovered from the surgery now but still enjoy using the retriever. I guess it made me lazy.

This is a great retriever but you do need a larger section for the putter to easily slide into your bag
