I am an exclusive pumper for my 4 month old little boy and wasn't getting good results with my trusty old Medela pump anymore, so I tried a few cheaper ones from Amazon because of our tight budget, but all three failed me. Either they leaked milk all over me from the flanges, were too weak in suction power, had too many or poor quality parts. Such a bummer. BUT... this amazing, tiny, beautiful pump, recommended by a friend of mine, was EXACTLY what I needed to redeem my faith in my exclusively pumping experience!!! I really couldn't love it more. PROS: - High quality parts - Few pieces to wash - Charges quickly - Holds strong charge for 3-4 powerful 20 min. pumps - Fits in the palm of my hand, very easy to travel with - very comfortable massage cushions = NO PAIN - comes with 2 different size flanges - suction power is AWESOME! - very quiet and discreet (yay!) - replacement parts are cheap - massage settings options are nice - doesn't leak a drop of milk on me! - customer service is STELLAR!! CONS: - doesn't bring me chocolate and water 😘 Overall, this pump is a Rockstar and my new best friend. I'm so thankful I can continue to offer fresh breastmilk to my little one without the pain and inconvenience of the other 4 pumps I've tried!

I had been eyeballing this pump as they were looking to expand into the US market and I had seen other positive reviews. Unimom had a limited time special that in exchange for a purchase and review on Amazon, they would reimburse the cost of the pump. I’m happy to get to try out this pump! As a mom on the lookout for the best portable pump, I’m going to include the info that I usually look for in reviews: This pump is tiny! It charges via USB. It has a backlit LCD display that has a timer. It comes with two size flanges: 24mm and 27mm. The tubes are similar to Spectra tubes. The pump is a closed system which prevents milk from flowing into the pump and messing up the motor. The pump also uses the duckbill membranes like Spectra. Lastly, it comes with two silicone flanges inserts. The paper insert in the box is incredibly valuable. As a mom of two (soon to be three), being able to look at the chart of vacuum and cycles for each level helps compare performance. When you’re used to using a Spectra or other highly customizable pumps, knowing cycles and vacuum strength is helpful in finding the right setting. Another feature that is helpful for mommas is the various suction patterns! Massage modes 3-7 have a variation of vacuum strength in the suction pattern with cycles per minute 40 to 23. In expression mode, vacuum strength goes up to 270mmhg and cycles ranging from 60 to 26 for levels 1-7. 8 and 9 have a variation in vacuum and cycles from 13 to 19 per minute. If you don’t respond to the monotonous suction of the Medela PISA, the varied suction feature is worth a try. It does not have a memory function and starts on massage level 1 each time the pump is turned on. Expecting a little one in under a month, this little pump will come in handy for times that having portability will be priority. Going back to work, I am trying to find the best portable pump to take with me that doesn’t make me look like I’m carrying a duffel bag. Having to travel with the Spectra S1 was a bit inconvenient the last go around. The size and backlit LCD display make this a great choice for travel. Sound: the pump is as quiet as my Spectra S1 and Motif Duo, which are incredibly quiet pumps! Under 45 decibels. Points of consideration: each momma is different in output and responds to pumps differently. Also, smaller, more portable pumps rarely compare side to side with tried and true S1 and usually perform at a higher suction when single pumping vs double. With my experience as a working mom of two (soon to be three) little ones, having a pump at work and home are helpful. But, I found myself reaching more for the pumps that were portable and let me pump in the car, even if it required a minute or two more (it usually didn’t). While I can’t tell you this will be a winner for you, the ability to customize the suction and having the information at your disposal will help you make the best choice for you and your breastfeeding journey. Lastly, remember to change your membranes every 2-4 months, regardless of the pump.

I totally recommend this pump! The things I love most about it: - Portability — the game changer! makes pumping convenient and less stressful. Battery has a decent life before it needs to be charged. Perfect size for carrying around and really light weight. Recovering from a csection, it’s been really nice to have this to carry to where I need it in the house. - Comfort — Even without the silicone insert, the flanges do not dig into the breast like I’ve experienced with the medela flanges. - Massage feature & multiple suction options — when you first turn the pump on, it goes straight to the massage feature, which you can control the intensity of with the + or - button. I love the control you have over this, especially during the early stages of nursing where you are hurting or sensitive. You also get to decide when you’re ready to stop massage mode and go into expression mode. Same control and suction options are in expression mode too. - Built in timer - Easy to clean, less pieces to lose The only thing I’ve been a little bummed about is the silicone insert for the flanges. I use a 27mm flange and I cannot get the silicone breast shield to stay on the flange. I tried 3 or 4 times with it coming off the edge every time before I decided to just not use them. Suction is also not as good without the silicone inserts. But like I said earlier, the flanges even without the silicone are still comfortable compared to other brands. I still prefer using this to the medical grade medela pump I’ve been renting from the hospital.

Overall still a 4 star pump but consider suction power when looking to buy. Read below on my review of each component. Portability: 5 STARS without a doubt!! The pump is super tiny, easy to fit in a diaper bag, purse, or backpack without needing a whole bag of it's own. See picture for size reference. Charge: FANTASTIC! This pump lasts me two full days of pumping, and can be charged from my computer if I ever get stuck without a charge. The booklet says the battery will last for 2.5 hours of pump time for reference. Flange/bottle: They are overall large, compared to the size of the pump itself. The closed system portion is in the flange rather than in the pump so it sticks farther off the body while pumping compared to my medela pump flange sets. The silicone insert is quite comfortable though! It helps massage the rest of the breast tissue during pumping. Suction: This is where the pump is no longer 5 stars for me - compared side by side to my medela the suction power is just not there. The unimom pump has so many excellent cycle settings for suction rhythms to fit the individual needs of each women. I so badly wanted it to have the same suction power as my medela, it just falls short. I can still get a full pump with the unimom, it just takes longer. For example: Medela, 4oz, 11 min start to finish - Unimom, 4 oz, 20+ min with a slower start to my letdown. Setup: Easy to use, super similar setup to my medela pump. Easy to clean parts, store milk, etc. Keep in mind every woman is different in her pump needs to maintain supply and fully express during a pumping session. I still think this pump is worth a try if you are a mom in need of a more portable & rechargeable pump especially for the price point! I will keep using this pump for any on the go or away from my lactation room needs. I have had the pump for about two weeks with occasional use, and another two weeks of regular use. I liked this breast pump the minute I opened the box. When I thought breast pump, I immediately imagined big and bulky. This pump is just the opposite. It is so small and compact that it can easily fit into your purse! the color is pretty and the screen is bright. I love how easy it is to operate. It comes with a generous amount of attachments so you don't run out easily . When turning the pump on I was surprised at how powerful it was for such a small machine. I am really satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product!!!!!

Bought into the BS and ordered this breast pump so I could be more mobile instead of sitting all the time to pump with my very reliable Spectra S2. It is not a great pump. It is hospital grade, so I was expecting much better. Comes with two sets of flanges, nbd. Theoretically, you could wear it and walk around and the battery is fine, but it's not a good pump. The preset massage (let down) and expression cycles are meant to be novel and state of the art, but are just ways of not allowing you to control the machine properly, because everything is preset. So, in closing, the spectra s2 worked much better. I was so unconvinced that I used my spectra s2 after having "emptied" both breasts with this machine and still got 2-3 more ounces out of each one. Long story short, go get a different pump. This one is not worth the money and doesn't do what it says it will. And when you return it, they make you pay for the shipping. Don't do it. It's not worth the gamble. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to only have this POS to rely on. Spend your money on another pump.

I am really impressed with the features of the UNIMOM double electric Breast pump compared to other leading breast pumps that Ive used since my baby was born. Firstly it works really smoothly and without that annoying pumping sound that other brands have! Like how genius is this company to make a breast pump that is actually portable and quiet! And i love the special massage feature, how unique! All in all a wonderful breast pump and would definitely recommend!

I got this pump through insurance and I’m not a big fan of it. Let me start by saying that I’ve used this product and the medela pump in style and I would take a medela any day over this one. The pump itself is easy to use and the letdown vs. expression function is nice. There are several massage speeds, which is helpful to find one similar to how your infant sucks to induce letdown. However, the downside is the expression speed is very slow and not that powerful even at the top suction. It takes me a noticeably longer time to pump with this pump. Pros: portability, rechargeable battery, massage function to induce letdown. Cons: longer pump time, more pump parts to wash, bottles tip over easily when you place them on table post-pump, suction during expression is not conducive for pumping.
