Sholley 4 Wheel Push Shopping Trolley, Strong, Well Balanced, Aids Walking, Regular 5'4" and Over (Portobello)

Purchased this for my mum who has a knee problem because it seemed that much more stable from the description. Upon opening the box this product screamed quality. Well worth the extra money. It is stable, well built with plenty of room and some lovely pockets my mum loved it. If you need a shopping trolley and can pay this much, I would say buy this one, I think it will hold its value anyway as this trolley looks like it will last for many years. I honestly think these things are for anyone of all ages you don't see any men or younger people with them but I think they are a good idea for everyone, a way to lug all those heavy beers home for the weekend especially if like me you don't drive.

Very well made & gives great support when you have problems walking

I suspect that, like a lot of people, I have come to this trolley via the more common models from places such as A***s. I wore out two in two years (VERY bad pavements locally), and suffered a few falls before deciding 'cheap' was a false economy and opted for the Sholley (recommended by the owner of a disability shop nearby). I have a moderate disability and walk slowly with a stick. Previous cheap trolleys have not given me stability due to flimsy construction. The Sholley feels STRONG and SOLID and supports me even on uneven and broken pavements. The wheelbase is longer and the steering therefore becomes less 'pointy' - it goes where you want it to, not off at angles. The width is a little greater and the wheels do not wobble on their mounts, making it feel firmer under me. The lack of a rear axle allows me to walk closer to it and therefore improves vertical support. Cheaper models hold the load vertically, which reduces stability when pushed. The Sholley holds the load low down and horizontally. This makes it less prone to pushing over. The another reason for the change was the old trolley's habit of shedding wheels. The last one shed the same wheel four times in one shopping trip. The Sholley's wheels stay on! (It is delivered fully assembled, no wheels to clip on) The tyres have some give and there is much less vibration through the handle (which has a good soft grip). The front wheels can be locked off straight but I use them free for better cornering in the supermarket. Castoring is smooth, unlike the old trolley, and the wheel units spend less time spinning aimlessly. Carrying capacity is good enough for me to do a weekly shop in one go. My rough measurement is 47.5 liters. The lid stays up securely during loading. The top supports a wire/plastic shopping basket but for bigger loads you can hang it behind a supermarket trolley. The pockets are handy (so many!) and nice touches such as the name/address holder inside show thought has been applied to the design. There are two brolly holders which I tend to re-purpose for water bottles. The bag is thick (less frozen food defrosting on hot days) and waterproof enough for quite a sharp downpour (rainwater still pools on the top though). The old one soaked up water like a sponge. THANK YOU Sholley for a good piece of design that actually makes my life easier and safer. I recommend 100%. 10 out of ten for both design and build.

After having a bad moment with one of my knees while walking home carrying heavy shopping, I thought of this! Now this is by no means cheap, but it you can afford it, it is worth it, it's sturdily built and can take a lot of weight, plus you can have a full bag or basket on top of the solid lid! I got it mainly to lug two liter bottles of water home, the other day I put eight bottles in which it held no problem plus other shopping. It's fairly easy to wheel about when loaded down, and it folds flat when being stowed away, having said that it is a pretty big trolly, it can hold a lot, but I don't think I will take it on the bus. As I said it is pricey, but for a fairly easy way to lug large amounts of shopping around it can't be beat! Plus it has plenty of pockets outside as well as in, even a couple to hold brollies, all told well designed and built, it really is unique among shopping trollies!!!

Overall a good trolley with excellent capacity and easy to steer with good multi directional wheels. The bag and frame are well made and sturdy. Reservations are that we ordered a petite size, having checked the size guidance against my wife's height, but she finds the handle lower than she wanted. Probably should have ignored the guidance and gone for the standard size. The handle adjustment for height is quite limited and the friction grip tighteners to fix the handle in position don't seem very sturdy and need frequent re-tightening.

This is the perfect trolley to use as a walking aide and also shopping. I have the Mulberry, which is most attractive. It is very sturdy; the regular size will not tip. As a walking aid, I think it is the best. I am very pleased with the assistance from Customer Service to assure a smooth delivery to the USA. Highly recommended.

Just received my trolley today it's so sturdy to walk around with as I'm not good at walking so this is just what you need it's lovely with loads of room for shopping and has pockets inside so you don't need a handbag which makes it safer when you're out I love it and recommend this to anyone

A very smart looking and easy to push. Ideal for shopping with nice pockets on the outside and a very useful safe varity of pockets inside. My old trolly was over 30 years old and I used to put shop basket on the top, just as suggested in thee instruction leaflet. I was interested to see that the models are bysexual. Thats a good idea to get the men out to do the shopping.........no daisy patterns on the trolly for them! Margaret.
