Affordable Lenovo G50 Notebook s are less than 1-Inch thick, but packed with features like an integrated optical drive and the latest processors. Review: Five Stars - Great value in my opinion but still need to explore all of its functions. Review: Defect - The laptop appears to be defective. It constantly restarts itself frequently. It has done this since the very start and I haven't returned it yet because I actually like the product apart from this so I'm trying fix the problem before returning the product.

Like it - the keyboard touch is a little floppy & the DVD/bluray player tray is very insubstantial but overall good

Wow, Wow and Wow
SUPERB VALUE ============ As a replacement laptop you won't go far wrong at this price. QUICK REVIEW ============ This laptop is not for everyone. It's a standard looking laptop. Not ultra thin. But I love it. Its main strengths are in its sturdiness. Its large hard drive and more than acceptable RAM. It's more than suitable for most people. FULL REVIEW =========== This laptop is a dream. The screen is clear, the keyboard responsive and it's a lovely machine. UNDER THE BONNET ================ AMD A8-6410 2 GHz Which is more than fine for most people's needs. (comparable to Intel i5) 1TB HDD (5400RPM) not super fast, but fine for playing music, browsing etc. 8GB 15.6 Screen Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit) Design ====== A dull matte finish, and standard looking laptop. It's a tried and trusted design. Weight ====== Fine, not lightweight but light enough to carry around the house with ease. Display ======= Its screen is rather nice. Large, bright with brilliant colours, and no reflections. Films are really good on this. AUDIO ===== I'm usually disappointed with the audio on most laptops. This is an exception. It's wonderful. Full. Not too base-ey. Not too tin-ey Keyboard ======== Nice and responsive. Touchpad ========= I'm normally annoyed by many laptop touchpads, but this one is designed very well - the buttons are easy to click, it is very responsive. Heat ==== It didn't get too hot after extended use. Performance =========== It takes about 20-30 seconds to boot up. Productivity applications and video editors all ran comfortably - which surprised me. Not super fast, but perfectly acceptable. Battery life ============ I got about 4 hours of full screen streaming out of a single charge. For a 15 inch screen that's impressive. Ports: ====== USBs etc. all fine and fast Windows 8.1 =========== I like it. This is eligible for the free upgrade to windows 10 at the end of July 2015. Wifi ======= Works seamlessly DVD Writer/Reader ========== Quick. Conclusion ========== No flaws. Good screen. Good audio. Nice and responsive. Hope this helps.
