Great “big box” type fertilizer. Avoid the grass seed, but the fertilizer is good for the cost.

The only Turf Builder with Iron
Scotts has several different versions of "Turf Builder", some include weed killer. This, the original version, is the only one that includes Iron (Fe). Iron helps plants green-up and I add it to my other non-lawn fertilizer. Iron is the reason I buy Scotts Turf Builder. Read the ingredients on the label to make sure you are getting their original formula.

Not cheap PSF... but it WORKS!
I try to reduce my yard maintenance costs as best I can- buying liquid fertilizers "in bulk", such as Ike's Pasture Prime. Scotts Turf Builder is expensive by contrast, but the results are undeniable. It flat out works. I use it to "spot treat" certain areas of my yard (about 12,000 sq feet) that struggle a bit in early spring and mid-summer that for whatever reason seem to lag behind other parts of the yard, so one "15,000" square ft" bag lasts me a full season. Liquid fertilizers work just fine for the healthier part of my yard, but for problem areas, Turf Builder is the ticket. Results are visibly fast- 3-5 days depending on irrigation or rain. If I had a smaller yard, it is all I would use and if you have a 5-ish thousand square feet of grass to feed, don't overthink it and just use Turf Builder.

My lawn has still not recovered from fertilizer burn. I tried to give it a quick go-over with a hand spreader, but I must have dropped some extra in many places.

Rip Off!
Exorbitant price for a small bag of fertilizer. When returning they charge an exorbitant cost to return. BEWARE!
