It is nothing like a regular waffle weave. It's so thin and gappy it's more like a basket weave. In the NE I can't wear this for anything but cool summer nights. I'm giving it two stars because the color is nice, and you could use it to layer.... Perfect lighter weight fabric which is great for summer nights in Georgia! My only complaint is the arms are a tad shorter than i would like. I usually wear a 2xl top but i ordered a 3xl and it fit perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This particular color and size was perfect! *by K***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2017* This is exactly what I was looking for. I love that it is a little longer length (to cover my baby bump , just a little past my hips). The material is a little thinner than a traditional hoodie, which is exactly what I wanted... but not so thin that you can see through it or anything, and it does provide warmth. The color is vibrant (I got the jade color, in medium). It is somewhat form-fitting, but not too tight. This hoodie has a ribbed texture, which is different from two other colors that I got (grey and white). Overall, I like it a lot. We'll see how it keeps up in the wash. Of note, I purchased the "PLAIN_HGREY" and "PLAIN_WHITE" ones at the same time as this one, and they are NOT the same material - very thin and smooth, not warm, and you can see through the white one. They also ran smaller (not as long, and tighter) than the jade one, even though I ordered medium in all 3. (I am 5'2", average/muscular build and 5 months pregnant). The white one is going back. Since I can't see through the grey one, I will be getting a size bigger (L) in that color.
