I recently purchased TableTopics Teen: Questions to Start Great Conversations for my teenage daughter to take to summer camp, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. These conversation cards became an instant hit among the girls in her cabin, and they eagerly played every night. The questions included in this set are truly insightful and thought-provoking. I teach Family and Consumer Science at the high school level and this is the perfect icebreaker/down time activity. It's a great teacher tool and offers a lot of flexibility. Kids can talk in pairs, groups, as a class, or even reflect individually. I've never had a group that didn't respond positively to the opportunity to talk freely about these questions. Nothing inappropriate and actually quite educational. It's a bit on the expensive side, but for my purposes it was money well spent. The cards themselves are sturdy and not cheaply made. The box is attractive and looks nice on my desk. I appreciate the quality of the materials because I reuse these cards often and plan to keep them a long time.

I bought these to use as conversation starters with my middle school students during the last few minutes of class, and they’ve been such a hit. The kids genuinely enjoy them and even ask if we can do one each day. It’s been a great way to get them talking and connecting with each other. Honestly, the best part is that they’re choosing this over being on their phones. Total win. The only thing I would change would be less “serious” questions, more light hearted. I have to flip through a few before reading off a card.

I am a therapist and I have to often build relationships with teenagers who don’t really want to talk to me. These cards have bridged the gap to get teens talking in a way that feels natural and easy. I’ve been able to get them to open up and start doing therapy so much sooner with the help of these cards. It also makes my job easier instead of having to manage the conversation completely on my own. It’s not that I couldn’t do it on my own but it just made my job easier. Thanks so much for these. Will likely be buying more for other age groups. May also recommend it to families who are disconnected as well.

My family thoroughly enjoys the table topics. It is a great way for us to touch base and learn about each other. It is sort of like a game for us and my kids look forward to sharing table topic time with us. It is even fun for just hanging out with friends. It is easy and can be as quick or long as you desire.

Great set of questions for family bonding with teens/tweens.

We have three of these and they are all on our kitchen table. When we’re going out to dinner I’ll always grab a few and stick them in my purse and it makes for a great conversation. We bought these for our teen grandson while he was in the the hospital. He had received many cool gifts but this was some things he could take home and enjoy with his family and friends later, as well. These may seem pretty pricey but the container they come in is extraordinarily sturdy too. I even set things on top of it. It’s worth it.

Awesome value for enlightened conversation topics!

Have purchased the "family" edition of table topics which our kids loved in the past so I decided to try the teen edition now as they have grown up a bit more. In comparison, I found the topics for teens more thought provoking. For example, in "family" questions were along the lines of "if you could be an animal what would you be?", whereas the teen topics were things such as " how could you end homelessness?". Our teens/Tweens still enjoy the family edition, in part because the questions have a bit more humour. The teen edition isn't completely without humour, just more topics that deal with some serious, complex issues. Depends what you are looking for!

Perfect game for teens to think about things. EVerytime my daughters friends come over and where hangin gout in the living room we pull this game out and brings up conversation and the night flies by!!
