If you lift your foot off before the clay is released it goes back to unstressed and safe again. Review: Great thrower! - Really nice and sturdy thrower. Pretty consistent with where it throws. The rubber on the two front legs was worn after two test fires wile putting it together, but they don't matter at all really.
