Chassis Dirt Dust Resist Guard Cover for 1/8 Arrma Outcast BLX Monster Truck & Typhon 3S

This one fits my ARRMA VORTEKS 3S BLX perfect and despite what other reviewers have said, the adhesive is crazy sticky and strong. Keep in mind, any time that You are gonna install decals or Velcro it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO CLEAN THE SURFACE THOROUGHLY. I always use isopropyl Alcohol pads or out of the bottle on an old clean rag. Clean the area removing all dust dirt, oil, oil from your fingers,etc. I always use at least 90% isopropyl alcohol, it just flashes off/drys faster. Whatever type you use, 1) the area must be completely dry of alcohol. To speed process up, use a heat gun of hair dryer, heat up the area a little bit and it’ll also dry area(Do not touch area with you’re greasy, grimey , gopher gut fingers) heat Velcro and chassis where you are gonna apply. Careful don’t over do it!! Then carefully stick in place. I’ve yet to have any come off. In fact, to remove I often have to heat Velcro adhesive to remove. Quick fact, if You happen to have extra “Fuzzy” side of Velcro, with much less heat on inside of Your body shell, heat Velcro and it also makes a great “Lexan” protective layer to save your body, w/o messy with dry way web tape and shoe goo. Drywall mesh tape does work excellent though but, I’ll put a layer of dry way mesh, spray it down with a coat of flex seal, let it dry, then apply another layer of Drywall mesh at a different angle to the first layer. Let it dry, then I spray with flat black spray paint, for looks. Looks like a carbon fiber layer inside you body and extremely strong. Yet to break body, I bash hard. I’ve heard shoe goo or E6000 works well too. Just a little fyi

I've run through dry leaves and grass, mud, snow, and water since putting this cover on my Typhon 6S and this thing keeps all the guts of my car clean and surprisingly dry, even running through snow and shallow puddles. So far, my only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the bottom of the velcro strip is fraying and wrapping around the rear axles. Not a showstopper, but it's a little annoying.

This is the perfect pebble protector. You can use nano tape in place of the velcro when the velcro inevitably fails. This fits the Typhon and the Vorteks. The zipper is more than robust enough so long as you're over 5 years old and have decent motor control. All my Arrmas are getting these. Two down, like 10 to go! UPDATE: Review changed. The zipper pulled off track with literally no weight on it. CHEAP. For $12 I would expect a better zipper. Ugh.

I'm sorry, great I idea. Didn't work well in the back of a Kraton 6s. The Velcro tape job sucks. Heat makes it peel off. Just didn't last at all. Mine had so much grass stuck to the Velcro that came loose it's almost pointless to have it. I would suggest running screws to hold Velcro on. I think the company should consider magnets in the future.

Fit was nice but both side zippers broke on the first day. Kept most of the junk out after the one pack ran with it but also seemed to keep a lot of the heat in, could feel the waft of heat when unzipping. We live in a very dusty/sandy soil area, it might work better on hard packed less dusty areas but the dirt gets in the zippers and grinds them right away.

I really like this dust cover for my Arrma Typhon! It fits perfectly and keeps all the dust and dirt out of your chassis. And it’s made really well!

Great fit, and keeps the inside of the truck super clean. Winter now, so temps not an issue, but might not be breathable enough to use when it warms up outside. Very inexpensive considering it's a Hot Racing product. Edit February 2021: Bought a second one for another 6s Arrma truck. Package was cut on delivery. Cover was also cut through elastic at front of cover. Useless now, and seller expects for shipping to be covered by buyer. Claim that shipping cost will be reimbursed up to $20 once they receive it, so why charge me at all? Less hassle in just buying a new one.

Could be better material or cheaper for what it is. but works.
