Really like the quality of the medallion, no distortion after installation. Looks good with our kitchen light, and covers up the oversize hole left by the junction box installation. Satin white blends in with the light textured ceiling. Putting the light fixture back was a challenge. A Phillips screwdriver could not align with the screw heads due to the medallion sticking down. Had to use my old offset screwdriver, 1/4 turn at a time, to tighten the screws. Took more than 30 minutes with both arms over my head. Strongly recommend you have a ratchet offset screwdriver like the MLK-53754 MulWark that I just ordered. Have one more medallion to put up and don't want to go through the agony again. I do recommend this medallion, just be prepared if you have horizontal screws to deal with.

It's a medalion with clean, simple lines. It is cast of plastic and it looks like plastic, but run some sandpaper over it to rough up the surface a bit and apply a couple quick coats of paint for a great look. I ordered one for a ceiling fan that was installed over an oversize cut hole and I'm back to order 2 more for 2 ceiling fans I'll be putting up next week. The casting is smooth and uniform... nicely made, but expect to put on a coat of paint if you don't want it to look like white plastic. Edit: The ceiling fans are up on the front porch with these gadgets there to close up the way-too-big hole that the construction guys cut in the plywood ceiling. I used some construction adhesive to glue them to the ceiling and had the painters give 'em a coat of light blue when we painted the porch ceiling. Photo is below.

Simple solution to add a design element to your fixture or solve a problem. In my case, I replaced a couple of ceiling fixtures in my 2nd floor hallway and the ceiling plate on the new fixtures were smaller than the old fixtures. The Medallion covers the space around the junction box and looks very clean and neat. My only issue is that I had to shave the inner circle a little in order to fit it flush against the ceiling and around the junction box which protruded slightly down from the ceiling.

I changed out an ornate cover for this one. These are inexpensive but look nice and are a much cleaner design. I wish I’d purchased the next size up, though, because I now need to do some paint touch-up since this one is smaller than the last.

Easy to fit

Nice product. I used it to cover up the unsightly large hole when I installed a new ceiling fan. Rigid plastic, so it keeps it form and shape enabling easily installation. It looks great and adds a nice finish to the ceiling fan.

Bought this as I replaced an old can light with a new ceiling light and had to cover the hole. Works like a charm, easy to install. Definitely recommend!
