Product Description Stack-On's GCB-910 10-Gun Compact Steel Security Cabinet is a California approved firearms safety device that meets the requirements of California Penal Code Section 12088 and the regulations issued thereunder. This steel cabinet has a 3-Point locking system with key coded, double bitted lock for greater security. The GCB-910 cabinet holds 10 rifles or shotguns up to 52-Inch tall and includes a removable shelf. The shelf is positioned in the back of the cabinet so longer guns can be stored in the front along the side walls. This cabinet also has a foam padded bottom and padded barrel rests to reduce scratches. From the Manufacturer Stack-On's Gun Cabinets feature welded, steel box construction and superior all steel 3 point locking system with double butted, key coded lock. Full length welded and staked steel piano hinge provides greater security. Also features Stack-On's patented, contoured non-marring barrel rest and barrel standoffs for scoped guns. If it is damaged, a quick look before accepting from carrier would settle the issue. The packaging only has "Stack-on" in small lettering at the lower end of the sides of the box, so it is not obvious to outsiders. Finish of metal and fit were fine, so was the operation of the locking mechanism. The keys are firmly attached and, yes, look before you toss any packing. Well Duh. Goes inside a closet and has easy access when I need it, by positioning and a little bit of common sense, it would be a pain in the butt to "relocate" by a burglar, and a "too long" job to jimmy open... with the alarm sounding, good neighbors and an auto dial that comes to me and the cops. For $100 to $130 bucks, it is a good buy. No, it is not a safe... well duh, read the description dufii. (is that plural for Dufus?) Can't afford, or have space for, a safe, get this if you are giving thought to family safety and security for about 3 - 5 firearms. I was happily surprised by such high quality in a low-priced item; there's nothing Chinesy about it. It is not a true gun safe, but it should defeat a burglar who doesn't have good tools and plenty of time. I plan to mount mine inside a narrow closet, which would make it that much harder to attack effectively. The gun "racks" are simply stick-on foam dividers but hey, they're just something for the guns to lean against, so what the heck. The shelf is too shallow to be very useful, but it can easily be doubled in width by installing a similar-sized board. There's enough depth in the cabinet to allow mounting pistol pockets on the inside of the door. This is the most satisfying purchase I've made in a long time.

**Q: How hard would it be for a child between ages 1-10 years who isn't that bright to get into the safe?**
A: It is not a safe. The item in question is a "Stack-On GCG-910 Steel 10-Gun Security Cabinet, Green". To answer your question, not nearly as easy as it would be to access the guns that you leave out in plain view, within reach, or hidden under a bed, between couch cushions, or in a drawer. This cabinet, though made of thin steel, is still made of steel. It has a locking door with a full hinge on the right and two locking posts, one on top and one on bottom. It is not impregnable, it's not designed to be. It is a steel, locking box that is intended to give you a place to lock up your weapons so that you don't leave them lying around for 1-10 yo's to inspect and play with. If you don't hand them the keys, the average 1-10 yo is not getting into this cabinet, especially when bolted to the garage floor. If your 1-10 yo is a professional thief or professional lock picker or guided by one during their attempted break-in, the odds are changed. This cabinet should be enough to discourage your 1-10 yo's as well as most adults.

**Q: Will this hold 2 m249s, 2 ar15s, and 2 shotguns?**
A: If you have the money for 2 M-249s then you should have enough money to create an entire bunker to put guns in.

**Q: what are the  actual dimentions of this gun cabinet?**
A: I'm sorry, I can't tell you exactly.  The description is pretty accurate.  I will note that the door is narrow and the cabinet isn't as deep as you'd think.  Still, a good cabinet.

**Q: does this come assembled or do I have to put it together?**
A: It doesn't come assembled but all you have to put together is the top rack which is secured in by simple screws and optional (if you put it in you may have trouble fitting longer barrel guns in). And the foam inserts that will actually hold the long guns in place are simple foam with adhesive parts. The main door is installed if that was what you were worried about.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cabinet for the price

All said, this is a decent cabinet (NOT A SAFE). Any determined thief could break in to this in a matter of a few minutes, but it will keep your guns out of the hands of kids. It was a little shorter than I figured, but it held my long guns without any major issues. The keys were stored in a plastic baggie on the top of the cabinet. The cabinet itself arrived just fine - no dents, dings, or scratches. The ONLY drawback - the shelf had mounting holes designed to mount the shelf all the way against the back of the cabinet. This prevented me from being able to store my long guns along the back of the safe. After some attempts at putting the long guns along the sides, I decided to drill two new holes and mount the shelf farther forward allowing the barrels to fit behind easily. Overall fit, finish, and design of this cabinet is excellent for the price. It makes a great place to store guns and valuables from prying eyes and young hands. In my case, I took the additional step of hiding this cabinet in another cabinet/bookshelf/wall so any thief would have to first locate the hidden cabinet then work their way in to it before getting anything. I expect this to take longer than the average response time for police in my area.
