They 'cling' for about a day and then become unreliable. Difficult to wipe down in situ on the lap trays we got these for, as due to the clinginess breaking down the mats move around a lot and ruck up. As somebody else said, the place mats will not stand on their edges, so alternate ways of washing them are out of the equation. For £8.99 for the pair, I somehow get the feeling I've been ripped off, especially as these things have all the hallmarks of originating from a sweat shop in China. I have given three stars for (a) quick delivery, (b) I like the colour (more amber than orange) and (c) if I glue one side down they could be useful.
