Ceramic Yerba Mate Gourd Set — Handmade Embossed Calabash Cup with Bombilla, Glazed Clay Mug for Hot and Cold Drinks (Brown With Straw)

I was lucky enough to get a green one and it looks fantastic! they're much bigger than I was expecting, but well constructed and the glaze is nice and smooth. They hold a lot of yerba and are just the right size for the bombilla to fit underneath. I'm gonna pick up a brown one too, I just wish there were more colors so I could expand my collection!

I love this yerba mate cup. It's got an elegant quality that I really appreciate. I needed to replace my mate gourd that came from my prima in Argentina. It broke after about 15 years of every day use and being dropped one too many times. It was very pretty and a lot of the ones offered are... not. So I found this ceramic one. I was skeptical at first because I wanted another hollow gourd. Plus, I didn't want it to be too small. I'm glad I got this. It's only too hot to hold when the liquid inside is too hot to drink, though my prima will drink it boiling! I have attached pictures with measurements, an up close of the not so attractive seam on the side (it doesn't bother me) and next to a regular size coffee mug to compare. I wanted to know these things before I bought it, but was only able to find out that it "was just under 4" tall". It holds enough Yerba for me. And it can fit a tablespoon inside. I'm very happy. Also, in the picture where I'm holding it, it looks smaller than it actually is.

Great mate ceramic gourd!!!!! (I added the metal holder) The ceramic gets hot, before I made the metal holder I grabbed it by the collar and it was ok to hold. Recommended

I have been drinking mate out of gourds for about 8 years. I believed that drinking mate out of a gourd gave it greater flavor. One issue I kept running into was that my gourds, even after learning different curing techniques, continually cracked. I finally decided to purchase a ceramic gourd. This one is perfect for my mate. While it does not have handles like a coffee mug I am able to hold it around the neck to avoid the heat from the water. Its excellent, does not interfere with mate flavor, easy to clean, and does not crack.

Adorable little ceramic cup, perfect replacement for a gourd! No signs of cracking in the glaze. The body is too hot to hold when full of hot water, but the lip is cool enough that it can still be carried.

Looks good, perfect size for my hand (easy to hold) plus easy to clean. Does not require to much mate.

Beautiful gourd with a good straw - holds heat for quite a long while and is sized as advertised. Quick delivery and well packaged.
