A must have for your Gamecube and HDTV
If you want a simple adapter to get the best picture quality from your GameCube, this is the way to go. Although there are different settings you can adjust, the default settings are perfect for me. You simply just plug it in the console, connect it to the HDTV with and HDMI cable, and you're good to go. There are instructions on how to get it to run at a resolution at 480p, which is the best picture quality you can get from the GameCube. The games look way better than I remembered with my older CRT television. One thing you want to make sure is that you have the right version of the GameCube. It happens to be that the older versions have the digital output connection that the adapter is compatible with. It won't work with the revised models since Nintendo got rid of that output and just offered analog with the newer models. Another thing to consider is the price. This is an expensive investment. There are other adapters out there can improve your picture at a cheaper price. But for me, this adapter is worth every penny to play all my GameCube games with the best picture possible.

My honest review
I’ll admit, this item was very pricey and probably not the best thing to buy. But what fascinates me is that it can plug in both ports of the back of my GameCube, it has a headphone jack, and the visuals and quality is just so much better than what i originally used. It was easy and didn’t require a power supply at all. It works perfect!

Great Upgrade for the Gamecube, even better than GCHD Mk-I
I originally had a GCHD Mk-I and I was blown away by the video quality I was getting out of my Gamecube. I always had one issue, and that was that I wanted to get that same high quality video out to my CRT PVM; enter the GCHD Mk-II. The Mk-II has all the features of the Mk-I with the additional capabilities of supporting simultaneous component out via Wii component cable, and supporting stereo audio out via 3.5mm. The component slot on the back of the unit takes a Wii component cable as it can be had for ~$10 versus the illustrious ~$275 Gamecube component cables. Audio is pushed through HDMI and component, so the 3.5mm jack is an added bonus if you tap into another devices line-in or you want to add headphones closer to the source device. The HDMI video output is purely digital straight from the source. Because of this, it's only compatible with DOL-001 (PAL DOL-002) model Gamecubes that have the digital out port in the back. Using component cables to my Sony PVM 20L5, I got such a clean signal that I thought it was RGB; everything was crystal clear and I could see every jaggy. I haven't found any real reason to choose the Mk-I over the Mk-II. The Mk-II is no larger than the Mk-I, and I haven't run into any Mk-II exclusive issues, so it is literally just an upgraded version at the same retail price.

Pricey but worth seeing your childhood games in a new light
I ordered an n64 one and a GameCube one. The n64 one is a dud, waiting for a replacement but the GameCube one, it’s night and day between the composite cables vs this product. I tested it out with MK double dash. The distance is blurry with the original cables but with this, it’s super clear. I’m very impressed. The only issue I had was you really need to push it in and make it tight to work. Other than that, it’s a solid product. A little expensive but worth it giving your older systems some quality of life improvements.

A must have product for your GameCube!
Simply the best way to hook up your GameCube to a modern display. I also combine this with my HD retrovision wii component cables when I want to hook it up to my CRT TV. Either way the results are great. I’d also like to add that they have excellent customer service!

Incredible Picture quality, no lag
I will start with negatives: - Build quality (should be better) but it's good enough to last for years - Pricy ($159) Positives: - Absolutely incredible picture quality - Seems very stable from behind, doesn't fill like it will fall off (like with some other products) - You can use both Component Cables and HDMI (at once) -> Great for streaming - Plug and Play, no need to delve into settings of any kind. My Rating 9/10 - would give it 10, but it's pricy.

La mejor forma de tener la maxima resolucion nativa para tu Gamecube en HDMI. Toma ventaje del puerto digital para aprovechar el Progressive Scan Mode del Gamecube. Muy recomendable.
