Most of my buildings are about 6" tall. I thought 7.5 inches would be fine. This is 9". I saw a comment about it being that size but wondered if it was confused about another style because no one else mentioned it and the description lists it in places as being 7 1/2 inches. So I'm a bit disappointed that the description is so off. Having said that, it is a lovely model and it is fun to have a working clock.
