Unfortunately, we woke up one Saturday morning and had maggots in our regular trashcan. After spending all day Saturday and most of Monday, making sure that the maggots were dead, we decided that we were going to line our trashcan with a bag. We’ve been using this bag for a few months now along with the extra large rubber bands. . We do not reuse the bag. We do reuse the rubber bands.Our main goal is to never have to deal with maggots again. Especially, since we cannot figure out why we got them to begin with.

These liners seem to be very sturdy. I purchased them because of all the garbage in my extra-large cans smelled really bad and stuck all over the sides and bottoms. I had to wash them out every week. These liners are adequately large for the big cans. After inserting them into the cans I had to add four clips to hold the tops and corners of the liner to the edge of the can. The first week I removed these four clips for fear of losing them during dumping and tied the tops of the liners so the truck took the whole thing liner and garbage as suspected. The bags fell into the dump truck along with the garbage and I lost them which equals around $.75 for each can. This could end up being expensive over time. The next week I left the clips secured and low and behold I got them back and they were not disposed of along with my garbage. Surprisingly the liners seem pretty clean and I can continue using them for weeks, maybe even a month? These liners will save me a lot of time cleaning cans. I am very happy with the results. One thing I did not like was that the liners on arrival were grouped together in a large box. I had to spend time separating them and refold them for easier dispensing when needed. It would be nice if the manufacturer had them pop up just like from a tissue box one at a time and ready for the next one to be used.
