Orvis Large Super Slim Fly Box

This is the 2nd of these that I have purchased. I recently switched from a fly fishing vest to a chest pack. As I was reorganizing and moving my items into the chest pack, I found that I could not fit all of my thicker fly boxes effectively. So I purchased another one of these great slim boxes and everything fits great and is well organized.

These are some of the best fly boxes i have come across. They are super thin, they are great for holding nymphs. Lots and lots of nymphs

This and the shirt pocket version are perfect and serve the purpose I intended. To be clear though, these are for smaller fly patterns. I also fish salmon and steelhead and most of those flies don't fit this box very well at all. I would suggest size 8 hooks and smaller are a great fit for these slimline boxes. I bought them to cut down on the bulk in my pockets while on the river. I will say that if you're not a detailed guy, and I am not, these require some sense of precision when you're placing your flies in this box and it can look a little jumbled... But that's par for the course for me :-)

imported 4 stars, 5 stars if domestic made. Purchased several of these boxes on sale. Very thin, light, easy to stow assembled back to back using glue or velcrow work well for nymphs and eggs. My second season and will purchase more once on sale for 10 dollars. Also, purchased tacky boxes same size with magnet closer. Similar but double the cost. Personally, recommend purchasing the boxes and would definitely purchase again.
