Double Duty: Baby Care Log Book for Twins

I had twin boys and in the hospital I downloaded an app for tracking feeds and diaper changes. I ended up deleting it because it was so confusing and frustrating to work. I prefer pen and paper in most situations so I opted for a book when we got home and so glad I did. It’s simple and straightforward and my family members can use it while they’re watching them.

The three of us - me, my husband, and my mother, are looking after our twin babies, and this log book has been really helpful in keeping track of feeding, sleeping and wake times of the babies regardless of who is on duty at the moment with which of the twins. It was so handy to use that after the first book was used up we ordered another one!

This book has absolutely saved me these first 6 months, I just ordered my second! I use it all day every day and it’s the only thing keeping my head on straight. I’ve shown babysitters, grandparents, etc. how to fill it out so we can transition easily between who’s watching the babies. I have twins and it's impossible to keep track of everything if I diddnt have this book. Right now I still can't use the full page but it's super handy fro writing their feeding times and their diapers.

This book has saved my life. I downloaded several apps on my phone and I just found this so much easier. My girls will be 6 months old next week. This allowed me, my wife, family members, friends, etc to all be on the same page when it came to feedings and naps. Especially in those first 3 months when you are just trying to survive. We are debating whether or not to switch to an app now that the twins are in daycare during the week, about to start solids and the daycare uses Brightwheel app to keep record of bottles and naps. However, I've adjusted by just using 1 page for week days and then adding the total ounces at the bottom (because my girls are small and had trouble gaining weight due to reflux I like to monitor their intake closely). The only thing I'd change is the wet/dirty diaper section. I'd like it to correlate better with the feedings and be associated with a time since the whole day is already centered around feedings (ex: had 2 poops since that feeding, etc). We instead used 1 check mark for wet diapers and 2 check marks for dirty diapers next to the feeding row. And now we just use 1 check mark for dirty diapers since we don't monitor wet diapers unless they are sick. Hands down best twin logbook out there!

I liked it but ended up switching to using the huckleberry app because I couldn’t see at night very well to write down the information and I would forget the time I started feeding to write down. Also always had my phone with me rather than the book out in public

I would be lost without this book. I can never remember what time my twins fed last, and constantly refer to this log book. One baby is also taking alot of suppliments ect and there is lots of room to track this, along with nappy changes and nap times.

I love this book! Definitely needed for twins as it’s so easy to forget who’s drunk what & what’s been in their nappies! A must have for all twin parents!
