As a 17 year old on a budget, I bought it to use mainly for protection in my bench vice (when tightly clamping fragile objects, it’s nice to have a bit of padding) but actually found this was high enough quality for leatherwork. I do leather work and enjoy it, but tend to buy large amounts of it at a higher price from more mainstream and reliable suppliers, and was skeptical about this, obviously, but this is definitely high enough quality to use for leatherwork. I made a belt loop for my nylon bullwhip and it worked great. Was quick and easy to make and looks pretty good too. This is great for getting small amounts for one or maybe two tiny projects when you need it fast.
