Heavy
Material feels heavy and there is enough detail in the casting to make it look realistic. Base color is brown. Decided to spray paint it a bronze gold. Sprayed two coats. The attachment on the back seemed a bit flimsy to be able to hold the weight of the eagle during a wind storm so drilled two holes in the middle of each wing and used a structural lag screw to secure to the house. Painted the heads of the screws to match with the paint of the eagle so itโs barely noticeable. Overall satisfied with the product.

Excellent ProductโGreat PriceโUnique
This is a heavy well made item that will last longer than you do...and your grandchildren. Wanted an Eagle ๐ฆ above my front porch and thought of brass, a more traditional choice. I have an iron Norwegian Sea serpent in my front yard and the cast iron matches that theme and the brass would have looked a bit showy on my humble abode. Plus this iron one is at least $50-$150 less expensive then the brass ones I looked at. Another plus is that it is more unusual/unique/individual then a brass one. Very satisfied with my purchase. Back hanger is sturdy as well.

Not black
Itโs nice, but I thought it was black. It is not. The listing photo makes it look black. Iโm keeping it bc itโs good quality, but I likely would NOT have bought it if I knew it wasnโt black.

Very nice
This eagle is nice but the mounting is very bad and unstable, for my use I drilled and taped 1/4 20 holes in each wing to mount it on my garage door, sprayed gold color now perfect ...

Highly recommended! So much better than expected.
This eagle is beautifully detailed, ornate and durable. I was expecting something flimsy and dull because of the low price but I didn't mind because I was just going to put it outside by my front door. Now, I feel like displaying it somewhere inside of my house so I can look at it more often because it is so nice.
