RAGGTOPP Convertible Top Fabric Cleaner & Protectant Kit

I have used the ragtop cleaner and protector for years. I have tried other products but none last as long or apply as easily. I suggest cleaning on one day and applying on another if you can bc the fabric needs to be totally dry in order for get the maximum protection. I lint roll the top prior to protecting it. I do 3 coats and use almost the whole can on the top. First coat on, then with a gloved hand wipe front to back. Second coat on 20 minutes later. Wipe side to side with gloved hand. Third coat 20 min later and this is the heaviest coat, basically use balance of can and let it air dry without touching it. Works very well for the entire season, sometimes 2 seasons depending on use. Besides water protection, it gives UV protection to the top. My black top is 11 years old and still looks new

I Have a 1999 Firebird Trans Am Convertible , the top was real dull, it is black and was nice and black when I first bought it, over the years its gotten a little dull from the sap from trees and pollen and some slight small green mold spots starting to appear near the back window around the seams. This product got it all out ! AMAZING ! I Followed the instructions and watch some videos of how to apply it. Just absolutely awesome how much the black convertible top looks brand new. The pollen and green mold spots are all gone ! Looks brand new ! I couldn't be happier! So glad I decided on Ragg Topp Fabric Cleaner as there was other products to choose from . My top is canvas, it just looks awesome after using this cleaner. I applied the condition too. Water starting to bead off, as it wasn't beading off too much before ! Excellent Product ! I try to use this every year on my BMW convertible. It really helps the top repell moisture which should help it last longer. My 128i is not a big convertible but it takes the entire can of repellent to give the top a couple coats. But there is enough cleaner to do the top at least twice, maybe three times. I got the kit this time but will on get the repellent next year, and possibly the year after.

I use this often. I have found that the fabric protector for the convertible top is the only product I can find for cloth convertible tops. Others like 303, be very careful, read the label, it tells you NOT to use on plastic/vinyl and can harm paint. Plastic/vinyl is underneath your cloth top, so beware. I have to say that I do not get the water resistance on the cloth top I have seen demonstrated on line, and this is a new car, new top so I expected great results. I give this 5 stars because I have used Ragg Top for many years, but was the vinyl protectant on a classic car. I remember to reapply when I have the oil changed. My hope is that I am getting the UV protection advertised. *** I do get water beading on the cloth top, but does not bead on the side panels for some reason. I have applied it many times. I do feel that if you have a cloth convertible top, this is well worth the cost to provide some protection from the harsh elements outside. My car is garaged and not driven, it is used only in nice weather, so I don't get a lot of opportunities to check the water resistance. The car is spray detailed so it is not actually washed very often.

Used both the Raggtop Cleaner & the Protectant on a 2019 Mustang cloth top. Cleans really well, no color fade. Follow the directions tightly- results are great. Used a new wheel well brush ($7.99 at autozone) with an extended handle- it has a soft bristle with no 'left behind' hairs, unlike the horsehair brushes for leather & upholstery which are too soft & 'sheddy'. Protectant needs a bit more time to complete, I just did it in the garage out of the wind and direct sun. 3 coats, half a can and wiping up the overspray after each application. Did not rub it in. Looks good- we'll see how long it beads. /RZ

This product was used on the fabric convertible top on my 1971 super beetle convertible. I was very worried about using any product but this one was highly recommended by other Volkswagen owners. It was very easy to apply and use and it did a great job. We'll definitely order it again when I need it! I used the entire contents of both the soap and the spray.

The cleaner worked well on my 22-year old convertible top but I can't say a lot about the protectant. Much of the liquid leaked out of the aerosol spray can below the spray nozzle, dripping all over me and the car instead of reaching the canvas top.

I got the cleaner/protectant kit and one extra can of protectant. The cleaner could have been stronger but it did the trick. I previously used the 303 product, and let me tell you... the fabric guard SUCKS! It left a white mess of my top. The Raggtopp protectant goes on like it should, clear and penetrating. Apply medium coats and let dry between coats. I think with 2 cans I got 4-5 good coats and my original 18yo top looks great! 5 Star product that I will buy again!
