First off, it's not real leather or anything like "real" leather in the sense of touch, feel, or smell - instead it's more like a vinyl hybrid thats thin, shinny, and very smooth with little to no resistence in the surface it provides. That said, it comes faily large - I picked up the largest size, and it's perfect for my setup! Water doesn't absorb, it gives a nice large/even surface to work with, it's clean, has a great look, and feels just about perfect for my needs, especially at this price point! It does have a slight grain-like texture and give that immitates "real" leather but only slightly, and that's saying a lot for the cost. It seems like a pretty solid product all around, but like all artificial leather products I do have concerns with how it will hold up over time and age through different temp changes in the environment. For now the surface isn't showing any signs of bunching or tearing and while it did have the smell others have mentioned when I first unpacked it, it was gone after about a 12hrs of being drapped over a chair before use. Quick word of advise, read the directions - I almost didn't. The pad will come rolled up tight in a box, you'll need to un roll, flip and re-roll to get the curl out rolling against the original direction), and press down a bit on the re-roll to help flatten out the tightest part of the curl in the center. I also recommend doing this to both sides for best results. In my case, I did my re-rolls, then drapped it over my office chair over night by a cracked window. In the morning the smell was gone, the pad looked fairly flat, and when I put it on my desk it sat perfectly and was ready for use. I love the new large surface area on my desk, more then enough space to place my keyboard and various contollers with room to move things around :)

Great price for a quality product! It feels smooth and has a great non-slip to it. They've got some nice color options and I recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a desk mat. Glad to support a small family owned business!

Very good desk mat. Attractive and lays flat readily.

It is a very nice quality deskpad and it looks wonderful on my desk. The color was a seen and expected and it feels good. "Unrolling" it went very easy and it was totally flat in minutes. I would advice to just wait and see how it goes before you follow the included steps to roll counterwise and press it a bit. tha left me with some vague marks. Just wait and I believe you're fine. Using the mouse is okay but it feels a bit sticky and it needs some pressure (cleaning the surface did not work). If you use your mouse all day like I do, this might be a bit too much and less ergonomic. I am going to look for something else. Maybe a separate mouse pad or a different deskpad but it is okay enough to keep using it till then.

Quality of the material for the cost is an excellent value. Sure, did clean up the top of my old desk. Product comes in a variety of colors and sizes which is definitely a pro when it comes to finding what you're looking for. Nice PU material good lamination quality and comes with a nice, embossed logo in righthand corner. Wipe clean easy to maintain material.

Great size, very soft, but sturdy material. Perfect for my IKEA Lagkapten/Alex desk combination. I think this will be perfect for all my crafts and will provide a great work surface and optimal protection for the desktop surface.

This mat is just the right size for my large desk. The surface is very smooth and professional looking. It is reversible in case you need to do some work which might leave a mark. It's a good value at the price.

The VineCreations leather desk pad is of high quality and large enough to fit both my iMac 27, keyboard and mice. The pad is perfect as a pad for the mice. Highly recommended!

PU leather may be a hint for the smell, stinky leather. Although it’s not leather. Which is nice because of the animals. Which is bad because more plastic and it is a misleading descriptor. The other issue is that it will not flatten even after putting heavy books on it for a week. It was inexpensive, otherwise the rating would be much less. Would not purchase again.
