Are these organic as the photo of the package indicates?

I want to believe they are - the Cosco website states that their Kirkland Pine Nuts are USDA Organic. I haven't heard otherwise.

Are these from China?

Mine also say "Product of China. Packed in the USA". I understand the concerns about foodstuffs and other products from China, but for whatever it's worth, they're some of the best pine nuts I've ever had in terms of taste and texture. I figure we use them sparingly enough that I'm not worried about it, but some folks have higher standards that I do. :)

Where is the pine nut processing place? Which country is the pine processing company? Is the shell opening of pine nuts mechanical or chemical?

Probably mechanical. Most come from China but occasionally I get a package that says they are from California. If you want to be sure go to a nut house and pay more. As I remember taking them out of the pine cone in California they just shake out even by hand when ripe.
