It is a good product but it is extremely high in protein and if a dog gets too much protein it can cause convulsions. This happened with my 8 year old lab. If you want to feed it I recommend that you be very cautious, only give a 1/2 inch piece once a day, and watch your dog carefully for any signs of convulsions such as drooling or slobbering. I like these because they are not too large so when I'm grooming I can give her lots of treats as we go. Makes grooming sessions better for everyone. The treats themselves are not too fragile so we don't end up with a lot of crumbs in the bottom of the bag (the salmon treats tend to be more fragile).
