It does get stuck in long grass because of how low it sets. I have had no problem going over gravel, tree roots, and large batches of leaves. Batteries seem to last pretty long. Remote feels a little light but has held up well and seems sturdy. I purchased this for my son so he can get use to this before I buy him a big boy Rc car or truggy. The car was well packaged and the design is neat and nice. The control is a little big for my small kids, but the right size for who it is intended for. We tested the range and was able to get 80m before the car lost the signal, which is pretty impressive for a battery operated car. We tested on the asphalt and it had no problems and even popped up the curb and righted itself easily. Over all happy with this purchase. It's really fast on pavement. Works on grass with some hopping but still works on grass.
