Does package indicate corner radius?** A: Clip the corners with a pair of wire cutters, shop scissors or resize on a wheel. I had the same problem and once installed (up to 3) you will not notice this. It is also good if using more than 1 shim to use a little double sided tape (thin not foam type) between multiple shims to keep from needing four hands. Last advice get a box of screws 1/2" longer than what currently holds the hinge, if your doors and jambs were manufactured as a unit, the manufacturers are cheap on thread length and the old screws may or may not catch - the shims were real handy when getting my house ready for sale. **Q: What is the thickness?** A: The package says that "Each shim adjusts door 1/16". I measured a few of mine and the actual thickness is just a little less than that, about 0.050, give or take a few thousandths. Nice thing is that you can stack up two or three of them if needed. Really handy product! **Q: Can these be used to push a door about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch closer to the strike plate?** A: I believe they can. We had a earth tremor that caused uneven settlement of my foundation which cause the door to out of alignment with the frame to a degree that my dead bolt would not line up with the strike plate. Put 3 shims behind lowest hinge and two behind middle hinge and everything lined up. **Q: Does the shim go behind the hinges on the door frame or the door?** A: Behind the hinges on the door frame. The hinge is usually set into the wood and this just raises it up some. These worked perfectly to align our door. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Didn’t know I needed ‘um until I needed ‘um 🤔 *by G***G on October 5, 2025* So I usually don’t like to write reviews right when I get what I bought. But I just had to come on here and write one in just under 10 hours or so since I received it. Man I’m not BSing, these things solved the gap problem we had in both my step son and nephew’s rooms. I didn’t even know such an item existed until I was looking to replace the whole door jam around the door and it popped up. So looking into it further I said why not and order me a set of them. And man I was impressed. Took awhile to get the right formula down but we got it and the door lock is dam near flushed to the strike plate. And this is after it had either a quarter or half inch gap. Now I am gonna have to put a thin, thin piece of weatherstripping where the hinges are cause it made a small gap back there. But nothing compared the where it locked. Hell the doors weren’t to secure when you could just dam near get a quarter and pop the lock. But with these ain’t no more of that happening. I mean if you put some effort into it yeah you can still open the door. But with these it’s a little harder now ya know. Oh one more thing.
