A nice pistol accessory. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks and Works Great! *by M***L on October 21, 2018* Despite the horrible experience with the M9/92FS Recover rail, this one for the G17 works very well. Snug fit, but I'd argue that this is better [in some ways] than having a Gen3-5 rail. This rail accommodates for the angle of the frame as it graduates towards the muzzle so it can essentially make the rail parallel to the slide. On Glock rails however, they tend to pignose and aren't the most study rails. I would argue this Recover rail creates a more stable platform than the Gen3-5's. Easy to install and it doesn't seem to damage the frame at all. Lights will sit very slightly more forward on Glock-specific lights/attachments, but in other cases, the ability to use a 1913 rail on a Glock makes it sit about where it would normally. In all cases, however, the light will sit lower down because the attachment point is about a half inch lower than a Glock rail would be. In some cases again though, this actually helps. Worth the money, and if you're a Gen 1/2 owner or loyalist, this is a great addition that makes the frame even sturdier and IMO looks better than a Glock rail. FYI I did for the hell of it try it fit this on my G21 Gen2 and it wouldn't fit. As others have said, it would work with some time and a Dremel, but I personally wouldn't try it unless you're desperate and have patience to remove the right amount of material from what would be at least 4 areas. I did sand some areas with 1500 grit sandpaper just to smooth out some areas that the slide will touch, but it was barely needed--if at all.
