I bought this Crucial 8GB DDR3 RAM to upgrade an older laptop that was running slow. Installation was simple, and the system recognized it right away with no issues. After upgrading, the laptop runs noticeably smoother. Programs open faster, multitasking is better, and it doesn’t freeze up like it used to. It made a bigger difference than I expected for such a simple upgrade. The RAM arrived well packaged and works exactly as described. If you have a compatible laptop and want an easy performance boost without replacing the whole machine, this is a solid choice.

Exactly as described, works perfectly. No issues at all. I got this as part of an upgrade project for an old HP Pavilion that is on the verge of retirement. It's been my favorite device for creative writing and all around word processing for years (original manufacture date is 2016-ish) and I hate to let it go without a fight. There was some confusion and conflicting information as to whether this particular model could or could not be upgraded from 4gb to 8gb; so I took a chance... I'm glad I did. Works great. Very easy to pop-in as these old laptops had the access panel on back. There's a noticeable difference in performance. Great product. Very happy with it.

Not a lot to say about it. It did what was needed. It's a stick of ram. How hard the installation is depends a lot on your specific computer. Mine was easy.

Works just fine with the second stick after the first stick was damaged in shipping. As the shipping concerns that resulted in the first stick arriving damaged (flexible padded Manila envelope instead of cardboard) were not addressed in shipping for the second stick, no 5* review. Probably should be a 2-3* just due to the shipping concerns, but the prompt Customer Service response was very nice.

This was for a little Acer micro-top that needed a little refresh which was maxing out memory and installing open source OS. Little thing flat gets after it now. It's amazing what can happen when you ditch bloatware. Recommend. Great price point.

My order arrived two days before its promised delivery. The RAM slid easily into my then-4G Asus R510C laptop which came up as a 12G laptop. No fuss, no muss, no bother. Enjoy!

I purchased two of these RAM sticks from Amazon Warehouse for my HP Elitebook 840 G1. According to Crucial's own website this RAM is compatible for the intended laptop and I can confirm they do work perfectly and at full speed. The memory units were also in good condition and there were no faults when running Memory Test from the BIOS screen. The only thing that might scare you a little is that the silver holding clips did not sit perfectly on the grooves like the stock RAM provided by HP itself but the RAM is still secure, doesn't move about and connects fully. My system recognised the RAM with no problems at all, I plugged it in and turned on the laptop and that was it. Just a note to those who are new at this, RAM doesn't have drivers so all you have to do is plug it in and that should be it if nothing went wrong. There is no software to install. I'll try to add a picture of the clip later and if someone else made it sit better, please let me know :) Edit: As you can see in the picture (sorry for bad quality, it's the best focus I could get on) the silver clips don't sit in the grooves perfectly and the ridge by the connectors has a gap too. I applied moderate force and did not try to force it into the grooves as I was afraid of damaging it.
