Hello,our backpack can hold the binder with the same size of A4 paper .Our backpack fits 14 inch laptop and external dimensions is 16.9 inch x 11.8 inch x 5.9 inch ( H x L x W).

Is it padded ? Does it protect laptops and stuff? I get on trains and buses everyday so I need a bag that protects my stuff

Yes, it's slightly padded. But I think it depends more in the way you use your backpack with the laptop inside. I get on trains and buses too but I'm still really careful with my things and nothing happens to it even when I carry it in a regular backpack or bag
