This is a firm pillow of a standard (UK) size so your pillow cases will probably fit fine. It’s firm, not solid but definitely on the former end of the scale. One side is slightly (but easy to notice) softer than the other so you can pick, almost fine-tune, to suit your taste. It’s not super thick but being firm this doesn’t matter so much as you’re not losing height by compressing it instantly. It suits me well as I’m a back and side sleeper, so if it were any thicker I’d struggle with back sleeping. The memory foam is responsive, so adjusting your position is always supportive - you won’t be resting on an already flattened pillow, it’ll be as thick as it can be and will ping back into shape quickly. From removing it from the vacuum packed (and rolled) box, it took circa. 12-hours to be at a useable thickness, but it grew slightly more the following day so give it 24-hours if you can. There is a slight smell at first, which would also benefit from a 24-hour period to breathe. Overall I’m very pleased. This replaced a Simba pillow which was an incredibly clever thing and a godsend in the heat, but is way too soft for my taste. At a third of the price, this pillow is a bargain and suits my taste better.

The pillow was delivered in a box and was curled up inside a plastic bag. After removing the pillow from its packaging, I left it for a few hours to decompress. I love this pillow. The instant I lay my head on it, I could tell I was going to sleep well - and I was right. For my preference, it is perfectly balanced between firmness and comfort. Previously, I was experiencing some shoulder discomfort sleeping on my side; the Emma pillow allows me to lay sideways and ensures that my head doesn't sink all the way into the pillow. My shoulders seem to drop naturally, allowing me to sleep without any discomfort whatsoever. I'm only day three into using it, feel so impressed that I wanted to leave a review with my immediate reaction.

Ok so... Don't rush in to judging this pillow on your first few nights sleep i am 2 weeks in. After seeing a good prime day deal i splashed out on this pillow and after my first night almost returned it. But didn't.. i have been sleeping with 2 feather pillows for years, but in the last few months not been sleeping well. The transition to memory foam has taken a little getting used to and side sleeping is definitely better as more supportive. Back sleeping also feels good. i have removed the middle layer as it felt to firm and i have a thin feather pillow underneath to keep the height up. I aim to try the 3rd layer again and remove feather pillow. I have slept better, but can't say if it's the pillow. Also the smell is a little strong to start and has only just faded. Not a soft pillow in any way shape or form, so if you like soft look else where. If you sleep on you side, i recommend this

This pillow certainly won't be for everybody. Despite being rated as one of the most comfortable pillows you can buy, it lacks a wow factor. It arrives compressed in a box, so it may take a day or two until it fully expands. It consists of three separate layers, 2 memory foam, and a cheaper foam filling. You can remove these to adjust the height, though this in itself is a little on the fiddly side. You certainly don't have to fluff this pillow up, as it appears to contain its shape, no matter what. But it's not exactly super comfortable, especially during the first week of use. It has a distinctive smell, which will take time to dispel, and its firmness and height may not be to everybody's taste, though of course you can adjust this. I bought mine at £40, which is a big discount on its original price, but even at that price I think is still expensive for what it is. Would I recommend this pillow? If it cost no more than £20-£30, I would, but at £40 or more, I think it's to expensive for what is essentially just a couple layers of memory foam stuffed inside a pillowcase.

I found this pillow very uncomfortable. I was hoping it would reduce neck pain but it actually made my head, neck and jaw ache as it was so hard. There are 3 “layers” to the pillow so I tried different combinations but could not get comfortable. It is difficult to remove the layers and put them back in the pillow case. I contacted Emma to request a refund and although they responded quickly they suggested that I should try removing layers. I found it annoying that they were questioning me rather than dealing with my request for a refund. After explaining that I had already tried different combinations of layers they agreed to refund and arranged for a courier to collect it. This was done within a few days and I expected to get a refund within 3-10 business days as stated in the email I received from them. 10 business days later I had still not received the refund so I contacted Emma who informed that there was no record of the return on the system! They apologised and stated the refund would be processed as soon as possible but this took a few more days so I am not really impressed with the customer service.

This pillow is brilliant and so comfortable but only when I removed the middle layer leaving the 2 layers that create like a triangle on the sides. If you sleep on your back I believe having all 3 layers would b ideal for you, however if you sleep on your side or front like I do just 2 layers is perfect.l especially if you sleep with your arm under the pillow like i do. I can't say I've ever had a better sleep. My first night was terrible when I tried all 3 layers but the night after and for the past 2 weeks I've had the best sleep ever with 2 layers.

Have been using those pillows for about a month. Can confirm that I sleep much better. They are a bit firm but comfortable the same time. Pillows give a great support to the head and neck. Keep the head cool. Perfect size for a standard pillow case. Can definitely recommend.
