I gave 3 stars for "ease of installation", because you have to have strong fingers to push / pull them on to the arm. The socks need to be a tight fit to perform as expected on the frame arm. I have a "large bridge nose", and these Oakley's fit my face perfectly. This frame is out of production, so I decided to repaint them, before having new lenses fitted. The old ear socks were shot, and needed replacement. These new socks look and feel great on my head. I show a picture of the finished product. These glasses were looking rough before I started the rework process, and the folks at my optometric store were pessimistic about me being able to revive these glasses. They praised the end product, after fitting the new lenses. Everyone I run into comments on how good these old glasses look! As other have mentioned, you need to fill the inner diameter with dish soap. Just stick the end of the sock into the end of a finger push soap dispenser. Go slow, the soap will flow into the hole. I also cleaned the residual with a water damp cloth. You will need good friction by your fingers on the rubber! From here, you need to squeeze the sock at its entry onto the arm, while you are pushing and wiggling with your other hand, directly adjacent to where its starting to enter the arm. You need to be pushing and pulling repeatedly, and wiping the outer diameter diameter occasionally with cloth to keep residual dish soup squeezing out on surfaces. The leading edge will be stretched with tension, and aft end will be in compression, creating like a bulb at the leading end of the arm as you pull and push, respectively. Resist using your finger nails, since this could damage the rubber, and be patient. I was able to get each sock on in about 10 minutes.
