Sanding belts .Arrived on time. They seem to be of good quality. I sharpened a few knives with them, they work very well. Well worth the money

I bought this 6-pack of 4 x 36 inch silicon carbide sanding belts mainly to sharpen knives, hatchets, axes, and lawnmower blades, and they’ve worked very well for finishing and refining edges. Abrasiveness: The higher grit range (120–1000) is great for refining an already-shaped edge. These aren’t for heavy stock removal, but they excel at smoothing and finishing. Metalworking: They do a solid job bringing edges back to a sharp, clean finish on tools and blades. Perfect for the final stages of sharpening. Knife Sharpening: Especially good for getting a finer edge on knives. The higher grits help polish and refine without being too aggressive. Durability: The belts hold up well for fine-grit work. As with any sanding belt, you need to avoid overheating the metal or you’ll reduce both belt life and edge quality. Consistency: Each grit performs as expected, making it easy to step through the sharpening process from rough refinement to polishing. Versatility: While I mainly used them for sharpening blades, they also work well for general light metal finishing and touch-ups. Overall, these are excellent fine-grit belts for sharpening and finishing work. As long as you manage heat and take your time, they deliver a clean, sharp edge on tools and blades.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Want sharp knives, and tools? Quick easy way with these sanding belts. Wheel grinders are too coarse, taking off more metal than necessary leaving a rough edge. Higher quality fine grit wheels are expensive and need to be maintained. Turn your belt sander upside down and clamp it. Now with only feathery touches, you can create a bevel down to the 1,000 grit level. Most people would be very happy with that edge. I’m a woodworker so I want my tools to be super sharp. So I finish with 2k-3k grit water stones for the micro bevel and strop to polish that edge. For the money, unless you’re a production shop, this is the easiest most inexpensive way to go.

Works really well on my belt sander. Had no problem sharpening a few machetes and some other tools.

Good quality These belts I think are pretty true to the grit count. Evenly smooth with no rough or uneven patches. I will no doubt buy these again as I wear out the ones I ordered.
