Decorative Aquarium Gravel, 2 Kg, Black

I bought this 10kg bag of Marina gravel to refresh the look of our fish tank, and I’m really happy with it. The grey and black mix gives the aquarium a clean, modern look, and it really makes the colours of the fish stand out. The gravel is a nice size not too fine that it clogs the filter, but not too chunky either. I gave it a rinse before putting it in the tank (as you always should), and it didn’t leave much dust at all. Covered the base of our 100L tank nicely with some left over. Our little bottom feeders seem happy with it too. Would definitely buy again when we set up another tank.

I use this in both my tanks, make sure you wash the gravel before you put it in the tank or it will fog up and you will have to do multiple water changed to clear it out, its a decent size and gives it a dark look at the bottom of the tank, all my plants have managed to root through it to soil so 100% recommend

Lovely colour,great size stones

I wouldn’t say the colour description was accurate, but luckily I was prepared for this after reading previous customer reviews. The gravel stones are black, brown & white. They rinsed easily and look great in the tank. There is a nice quantity of each of the colour stones, it doesn’t look more one colour than the others. I bought 10kg bag for 64l Interpet FishPod tank which worked out just right quantity wise. I would recommend this gravel, the only reason for the 4 stars is that I feel the colour description is misleading.

Good sized substrate used straight out of bag with just one rinse in water. Added to aquarium filled with water and no cloudywater. Looks good in aquarium. Would highly recommend

Nice gravel however not really black/grey more black, brown and white which is not great as I was using them for a project which I needed a mixture of black and grey

I was using this gravel for drainage in indoor plant pots. It worked very well. No dust, not dirty, therefore easy to work with, and perfect for the purpose.

I purchased this to use in my faerie garden of next spring ( 2016). The only disappointment I have with this stone is that the amazon product photo looked as if there was more of a blue and dark red stone content. Since manufacturers usually put in so many ounces of each colour I was hoping the photo was accurate. Having said that , the colours are rich with the orange being exceptionally vibrant ( yellow a close second to orange). I can not comment as to durability of colour in full sun until next summer is over but I know that this particular brand has consistent longevity in aquariums. Remember to read the back of the package and follow the rinsing instructions no mater what it's final use. Definitely recommend this product for quality, sturdy packaging and excellent pricing.
