As someone who’s always fancied himself the next master blender (after one too many nights with a bottle of Chivas), I couldn’t resist this little blending kit. The packaging is gorgeous — it looks like something you’d expect to find in a gentleman’s study, next to a leather armchair and an inflated sense of self-importance. Inside, you get six 5cl bottles representing different flavour profiles — fruity, smoky, creamy, etc. — along with a pipette, beaker, and instructions that make you feel like you’re back in high school chemistry, but with a much better smell. I half expected to blow something up, but instead I ended up creating my own “signature blend,” which I named Regret 18-Year-Old (Unofficial). It wasn’t bad, actually! The kit’s more about the experience than the quantity — let’s be honest, you’re not walking away with a new bottle of whisky here. But it’s a brilliant gift for whisky lovers, a fun date-night experiment, or something to do on a rainy Sunday when you’re feeling fancy. Only downside? Now I’m slightly offended that Chivas hasn’t called to offer me a job yet.

Lovely gift for the money, adds a nice experience element to an otherwise basic alcoholic present. Looks expensive, classy packaging. Will buy again for another present. One part in the box was broken on arrival but a new item was received the next day. Good service from Amazon.
